All Customer Questions

Question
hi, I'm revamping my gsxr headlight assy with ccfl. I wanted red. One 80mm and one 100mm. Can you hook me up and do the rings have the plastic protection sheath? thanks
david in canada
Answer
Sorry, we only have them in White. Maybe buy the Angel eyes for the Scion and see if they fit. If they don't send them back and we will refund you.
Question
What are the specs on these CCFL's? Like voltage/current/resistance ranges? I'm planning on wiring these up to my OEM low beam wiring but I want to make sure that I'm not overpowering them.
Answer
The transformers are designed for 12v DC input. As long as your OEM low beam has that, you'll be fine.
Question
How do you install these to turn on with your parking lights?? Also, if you cant, then how would I wire them to my dash and do you offer any extra wire?? I would like to put these in my Audi headlights, but I want to be able to either have a aftermarket switch for them or for them to just turn on by using my normal parking light switch. Thanks for your time. - by Dave (SJ - MI)
Answer
You tap into the parking light to have these come on with them.
Question
why do these kits only fit in the 2007 and below scion TCs? the only difference i see is that the bigger ring would go around the inner lamp. should i order thos anyway and try to rig something up? - by avi (augusta, georgia)
Answer
The headlights are slightly different. You can try them if you'd like, but the fitment will be off.
Question
how do i know which sizes are full rings? i see the pictures and a few of them arent full rings. which ones are full rings?
Answer
They are available in 5 popular diameters

Question
How do I measure with a tape measure straight across or up and down just a little confused and I want the right size - by Joseph (Cordova, TN)
Answer
The measurement you will be taking is the diameter of the circle, the easiest way to put it is think of it like a clock. Measure from 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock.
That will be the measurement you need.
I hope this answeres your question.

Hi, some time ago I bought a 70mm kit from you and one of my lights is not working, is it possible to buy replacement 70mm tubes or will I need another kit? If it is possible what is the cost of the replacement tubes?
Thanks Heath - by Heath (Australia)

Unfortunately, braking apart a kit for a single CCFL tube creates some inventory problems for us.
You would need to purchase a new CCFL Kit.

The pictures of the 128mm CCFL Kit are correct.
Each ring requires a transformer.

Question
You used to list green CCFLs. Do you not offer them any more, or just out of stock? If you have a couple 70mm in green....I'm interested. 70mm is just under 3" right? - by Fixer (Texas)
Answer
You must be thinking of the Scion tC specific angel eyes. Those are the only green ones we have. http://www.oznium.com/tc-angel-eye

70mm is 2.75 inches. Tip: go to Google, type in "70mm to inches", and it will tell you.
Question
If these were placed on the outside of a car around the fog lights would they break? How durable are these? - by Shaya
Answer
They are quite fragile, but depending on how you install them, they could be OK. The smaller sizes (like 70 and 80mm) are much less fragile than the larger sizes. It sounds like an interesting project. Be sure to post up pictures when you're finished!
Question
Do you think these would be sturdy enough to be placed on a sub woofer box? I mean around the outside of the actual cone thing. I'd either do it this way or with flex strips, but just wanted to get your input.
Answer
I'd stick with the flex strips in that type of extreme environment.
Question
I have a Dodge Magnum. What size would i need for my application of "Angel Eyes" Lights for this type of vehicle. - by Elias (Graveley)
Answer
Sorry I don't know. You should measure.
Question
I see that custom sizes can be created - 73mm is one of them? same price as the 70mm? and a few weeks lead time? - by DistantXtremes
Answer
Any size or shape can be created. The price will be the same, but for the custom size, we will require a minimum order . Right now the lead time will be a few months.

70 is so close to 73... You should consider trying to fit the 70
Question
How flexible are the tubes? Can they be bended a bit?
Answer
They are not flexible. If you try to bend them, they will break.
Question
Does acrylic diffuse rings come with every kit? if not, do you make them for custom sizes too?
Answer
Only the 128mm kit comes with diffusing rings. We do not make custom individual kits, however we can do bulk orders with a minimum of 100 kits.
Question
is the diameter the outer diameter or inner diameter? - by Tom
Answer
it is the outer diameter
Question
What color temp do the angel eyes put out? Are they as bright or brighter then the stock BMW angel eyes?
Answer
Cool white, about 6,000K

The Kelvin temperature has nothing to do with brightness.

I have not inspected a stock BMW angel eye closely, so I can't tell you how these compare in brightness.
Question
why are the ones for the TC a lot thinner then the normal sets? whats the difference?
Answer
No major or performance-related differences. Just a different style of cathode used for the application.
Question
I see a lot of question on measuring to get a exact shape of the car lights how would you measure something if it isnt a perfect circle or half circle? kinda like this shape (
Answer
Perhaps you could use a compass and a piece of paper, and cut it to match the curve as best as possible, then measure the paper. Use your imagination!
Question
i was reading this answer (We are happy to produce the kit for you if you can give us the specifications and measurements / shape for the tubes.) How do we get the the exact shape/measurments like you have for the scion TCs?

Measure. Also we only manufacture specific vehicle kits if we believe there is a demand for them, or if you are willing to pay a high premium or buy in bulk.

Question
Do you make a kit for a Chevy Beretta?
Answer
The only vehicle-specific kit we have at this time is our Scion tC kit. If you wish to use the CCFL Circle Halo kit, just measure your headlight to see if any of our sizes will work. We do not have any plans currently to make a Beretta kit.
Question
what max temperature are they able to withstand?
Answer
Maximum and minimum operating temperatures have not been tested.
Question
I want Angel Eyes for my "05 Grand Am and haven't been able to find anyone willing to manufacture them even though there is a market for them..... Wondering if it would be possible to get a setup through you guys.... I'm not wanting to do the arts and crafts thing that other grand am owners have had to do, I want a pure custom BMW Angel Eye set up..... I'd love the black cold cathodes for effect... but my car is themed around blue lighting.... Anyway, just thought I could get some insight from you guys on what you can offer or even have to offer... Okay, thanks! - by Kevin (Toronto Canada)
Answer
We are happy to produce the kit for you if you can give us the specifications and measurements / shape for the tubes.
Question
Could you mount these in pretty much any way you could think of? Do you have a suggested mounting method? - by Curious (cyberspace)
Answer
Glue is the most common mounting method.
Question
is there anywhere wher they install
Answer
You mean you are looking for someone to install this?

Where do you live?

You can probably find someone on the Oznium Forum that lives near you and can install it.
Question
Can I order them in red? If so, what is the price difference? - by Kevin (Nor*Cal)
Answer
You can order them in other colors, but there will be a long lead time and minimum quantity (we only do large custom color orders). The price will be the same.
Question
is the entire package waterproof or just the inverter?
Answer
If you were to put the entire thing in a bucket of water, it would still work for a while. Eventually, it would stop working because water would corrode the black connectors and the ends of the cathode tubes where there are metal wires. You decide if this is water resistant enough for you. If not, you can always use silicone.
Question
Can I purchase 4 instead of 3, or is buying the 6 my only option? - by Deech
Answer
6 is the only option.

Just like, if you go to the grocery store and they sell hot dog buns in packs of 10, you can't get 12 unless you buy 2 packs.
Question
Is the inverter waterproof?
Answer
Yes
Question
Are you thinking about making these in colors other than white? - by Christopher
