My friend sickness told me about this site http://elwirecheap.com/noname15.html they have 24" single cathodes with inverter for $20, or just the bulb for $11, i would get them but i have no place to out them, plus i'm poor as dirt the only thing im not sure about is that i couldn't find any info about brightness. Now i hope Phil doesnt mind me posting this. also the name el wire cheap sounds like the guy has illegal aliens sitting in his basement putting these things together

for 12 dollars you can get just the 24 inch tube. Does anyone know if that would work, or do I need an inverter too. And Phil, can you get your hand on some 24 inch tubes at all?

I could but I choose not to. 24" = way too delicate and a nightmare to ship.

no, you need the special inverter to get enough power to run the CC

yea it probably is terrible to ship, youd need to have a special extra long box.

look in the top right corner of your posts. you will only see it in yours thou

then a message like this comes up on your post:
that didn't work...

or... like this... hey, maybe it has a time limit... waiting..... waiting... 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

ok... a message like this: no that didn't work

maybe someone else has to post after you do for the message to appear?

Hey, I've been to elwireceap.com, and your right glidden, about the aliens thing. That was kind of what I thought of at first when I went there.

i have ten 12" cold cathodes from them... when i tested them they seemed pretty bright (although i don't have anything else to compare them to other than neons). their customer service is just as good as phil's IMO. when i got them there were 4 that were broken. i just e-mailed them, told'em what happened, and they told me to make a "broken in transent (sp?)" claim. i did, and about 3 days later i had the replacements, no questions asked. i didn't even have to send the broken ones back icon_biggrin.gif

My underdash cathodes are from elwirecheap and they worked out great. I even liked their tranny better. Its metal and more compact that the oznium ones. I had Oznium cathodes too and they worked great for about 2 mins but then the tube slid out and broke. Not Phils fault though.

That's good then. I couple of good reviews about them. I'll have to buy some purple cathodes from there.
