and the stupid questions they ask you.

I feel I am quite capable of stocking shelves without having to answer **** questions.

I love job interviews. It's a chance for me to tell them how I'm so much better than everyone else and how I deserve the job. They are really just you telling someone a bunch of BS and making yourself look great. You can always stretch the truth in an interview as long as you don't start making stuff up.

I mean when I actual get into a real career I know the interview is important, but for overnight stocking at Target I don't find it necessary.

i think you would be amazed at how many people aren't qualified for that job, which is why they have to have an interview....

hell i had to take 2 tests for an interview on wednesday to test smartness. i had to compare 2 words and tell if they were similar or different. for installing industrial doors. but yeah they suck and seem pointless at times with the questions they ask.

That sounds oddly too familiar. I just interviewed and was accepted for a position for a developer for a Department of Defense contractor. Needless to say, I'm setting myself up for a 6-month - 1+ year background investigation for my government security clearance! icon_cool.gif

Been there, done that with my current job (missile design icon_twisted.gif ). They just want to make sure that when you're doing whatever you do, you're keeping the secrets a secret. I would much rather they perform a through background check like they do than half ass it.

But yes, if you ever have a friend or relative go into a federal/state government position be prepared to have a SGT knock on your door with a binder and a lot of questions icon_lol.gif

Most job interviews for jobs similar to "stocking shelves" are bogus. They are just looking at you and judging to see if your trustworthy. Usually when you have the interview for this type of job, it means your probably going to get hired.
