Use a Flexible LED strip. http://www.oznium.com/flexible-led-strips
Hook up to Junction box: http://www.oznium.com/junction-box
Then use an adapter to plug into wall: http://www.oznium.com/ac-adapter

Curious on what size, specs and all of your guitar amp are.

^^^
The amp might be 12V so he might not need the adapter. Regardless, the adapter would be the safest way to go and there would be no need tap into the amp wiring.

I wouldn't mess with tapping into the wiring of the AMP. Too much stuff could go wrong. Not sure if its 12v either. I never thought about it.

I didn't know and never clamed to know. Hence why I used the wording I did, "The amp might be 12V..."

But, it does sound like you know about guitar amps. At what voltage do guitar amps operate (I'm talking voltage after it's converted from the 120V AC)? I'm always looking to learn more and if you can educate me, I'm all for it.

I'm sure the operating voltage would differ if it was a tube or solid state amp.

Right, but there should be an industry standard for each type. I've just never learned guitar so I've had no reason to look into it.

I don't have any manual for my tube amp. On the back it says 117 AC 50/60 hz.

I wasnt planning on drawing off the amp because itll alter the sound, but generally my amp is rated at about 120 watts output, and the voltage across the tubes is arround 300 i believe. As for dimensions its about 2 feet 6 inches by 1 foot.
