All the blackberry buttons are way to small for my fingers. So I would go with #1

Depends how you plan to use it. I don't like #1 because it's going to be too thick to carry around comfortably. Maybe the Curve, but it looks kinda ugly in silver.

DO NOT get the Moto Q from verizon.
The first day I had mine it froze (and everytime it freezes you have to do a master-reset for it to turn back on) so I took it back, thye gave me another one...and same problem. They are good phones for the most part. You can tell when its about to freeeze, cause when your texting you can text something...then watch the letters come up after youve hit them...very...very slowly. Then all of a sudden BOOM, you wont recieve, send, any messages. Wont get phone calls, and such. AND you cant change settings. Well you "can" but they wont take effect. So NO to the moto Q |

Blackberry Curves are nice. Pretty slim for what they are.
Go with the curve. |

My buddy and his mom have the dare...
I just dont like how its ALL touch screen. Would get on my nerves. I like being able to text with my full Qwerty keyboard and not be looking at it. |

Just figured I would post to say that I just put in an application to the local Verizon Wireless store online. They are looking for a retail salesperson, so I figured, why not?!

If you get hired, get ready for 3 weeks of long ass training lol... At least you get paid during the training. A family friend who worked there for 2 yrs had me make a resume and turn it in, but after finding out that the training was 3 weeks long from 9-5, I couldn't do it since it'd interfere with school... Oh well, I had a good chance at landing a job too As for the phones, I wouldn't get the Moto, I've heard a LOT of complaints about that one. I personally have a Dare, used to have a Voyager. I loved the keyboard of the Voyager, awesome size, but the touch screen was weak sauce. It wasn't as responsive as I would've hoped, and it's screen was too narrow. The Dare is awesome for media, but not so much for texting. I've had the phone for almost 2 months, and I still suck ass at texting on it. It does the whole switch from vertical to horizontal like the iPhone, but it's not very good. If you tilt it ever so slightly to the left on accident, it will flip, but then you have to practically spin it in a 90 degree angle the other way to fix it.... I still love the phone because of the big screen and the internet browsing for it. Out of those phones, I'd get the blackberry if you don't mind having the blackberry OS. There is a $35 minimum mandatory charge every month if you get a blackberry, but with that, you can use the internet and all it's other goodies. Blackberry's coming out with the new Thunder which is basically an iPhone version of the blackberry, it's all touch screen and it has a 3.2 MP camera like the Dare which is awesome for a phone by the way. If you don't like the whole touch screen thing, then I'd go with the Curve... My d-bag former brother got it back when I used to talk to him, and it was a nice phone. |

I put my vote in for the Blackberry if I was forced to pick between those.
Look into the Nokia e71. It's an amazing smartphone. Reasonably sized (same size as the iPhone) and does about everything you would want from a smartphone. |

too much money for me i dont like the texting on the dare either... too damn annoying and touch screen in its self is annoying to me. i really want to go for the curve but dont know if i feel like paying 35 bucks a month for the extras, but having the internet all the time would be awesome... anyone know if they charge for the killobite usage (or what ever data charges) if you pay the 35 bucks? justin- is that even a verizon phone |

the 6800 sells for $150 ~ 230 on ebay now ;) just looked for you...
If you get the contract rebate your locked in for X years... so I always bought a phone and got a contract.... Plus when I had my 6800 you could get one wireless internet if it was in the area ;) for free too btw... |

but you can get the monthly warranty... $4.99 ~ 5.99 not sure..
but if you buy a phone with rebate your stuck.. $50 Rebate stuck a Year... $100 Rebate stuck 2 Years... I hate being stuck with a cell phone company / plan... plus if your out of contract you can make verizon give you discounts and stuff to keep your business... hehe Call them up and say yada yada it sucks... they say "What can I do to keep you a customer..." And the free 1 year warranty is ONLY for the first phone, the new one... Say if you break it... you get a refurb.. ;/ it is only 60~90 Days after that point depending on the phone ;/ Ghey... Even if you break the new phone the first month... the year goes away... and is now ~90 on the refurb'd one ;/ |

The warranty is free for the 1 year until the phone is broken.
i.e. you break you phone in Month 3, your 1 year warranty is OVER and starts with only a ~90 Days with the replacement refurb ;( |

Cougar, call and make sure man. I know that when I bought one with a $100 new every two they always would extend your contract and the warranty only applied to the first phone not the replacement.
I sold for a Verizon store at one time and this was one of the biggest complaints I got... I wish I still had the job but at the time I was working two jobs so one had to go... It all really depends on the quota for the month of each store. Some are allowed to give out phones here and there if it is an older phone. But the 1 year warranty is only for the first phone from the manufacturer. Then each phone after that is a 90 day warranty from verizon because of it being refurb. == Ninja Edit: ripoffreport has a lot of what I am stating above. If your ok about being locked into a contract to save a little money on the phone then go for it... but I like having the option to make verizon want to keep me as a customer. This way the ball is in my court when I want to dispute the new MB transfer crap they charge now... http://products.vzw.com/index.aspx?id=messaging_pixflix ^^ Is the plan I have setup for my family and we still will get charged for picture messaging. Explain that one. I just cannot give up a service that WORKS but they try to charge you for everything they can tho... |

Moto Q if you don't want extra data plan charges.
Curve if you don't care. Don't get a Windows OS phone (my opinion). |
