I totally agree with Kierra. I really like Daniel Craig as Bond, but it just seems like the stories aren't very Bond like.

This movie was in now way horrible/the worst ever.

The stories are going back to the original believable plots. Brosnans character was put in some extravagant ideas

Yeah, tis true, but that's what made it interesting. It just kind of seemed like another action movie. Also, and maybe it was just me, but where exactly do they get the name Quantum of Solace from? Maybe I just missed that part.

I saw Daniel craig explain it on leno, When you are in love with someone and they die, the part of you're heart that died with them is called the Quantam Solace.(two main characters lost someone they love)

If that isn't correct it sounds pretty good anyway.

I'm sure its got some deep meaning that we've yet to figure out. QoS was the title of a short story in Ian Flemings "For Your Eyes Only"

I agree. Pierce's movies sucked, with the exception of Goldeneye. They were so over the top. Wouldn't be surprised if Michael Bay directed them.

I think Daniel Craig is the best James Bond yet.

Look, guys, Bond's supposed to be an ASSASSIN, not a socialite.

....and Craig portrays the most SERIOUS Bond yet. Roger Moore was nothing but a comedian. Pierce Brosnan was just a little too "slick", and he couldn't pull that off like Sean Connery could. Timothy Dalton was just too......wooden.

You know an actor is good when you can FORGET that he's ACTING.....when you can actually see him in the role. And Craig is the only actor, portraying James Bond, that could cause you to believe, even for a moment, that if you were in his way, he'd kill you, move on, and sleep well that night.

but you have to remember that this isnt way later in his career
this is his first year as being a bond. mistakes will be made. he isnt the cold hard unloving bond yet. he still feels

it's a movie... you all are kinda putting way too much thought into this. movie is supposed to be for entertainment, not obsession.

Don't forget George Lazenby. biglaugh.gif

I retort. With a 'so.' Just because James Bond isn't supposed to fall in love, falling in love is one of those things you can't control. If you fall in love you fall in love. What you can control is whether or not you follow through with seeking the one you love. Bond did.

I just got in from watching this about a half hour ago. I was going to watch Casino Royale again to catch up and get in the du nuh! du nuh! du nuh nuh nuh! mood, but I forgot. I wasn't expecting Quantum of Solace to jump right in to the end of Casino Royale like that, but it was cool. I can say that yehh this movie does lack the action like you got in Golden Eye and Die Another Day, but this is one of those times Bond isn't out knowing who's who and what's what and just killin killin killin killin... a little tush at night, killin killin killin, some more tush, killin killin "Bond, James Bond. I do believe I want to sleep with you." killin killin killin END CREDITS. This is one of those movies where he's doing research and spying and stalking and figuring out WTF is going on so that later on in his career events from Brosnans and Connerys movies are plausible, probable, possible, and damn well exciting.

Speak of the devil, the commercial for the Quantum of Solace video game just came on. I know what game I'm buying next for the 360.

Returning to the acting capabilities of the Bond actors. Craig is very good at it, as mccook said, if you were in his way, you would move. Same goes for Brosnan, he was my favourite. Connery started this damned thing so mega props there. Lazenby and Dalton. . .FAIL. . .enough said. Just be glad Tom Hanks isn't Bond. biglaugh.gif

I must know before I go see this movie tomorrow; is there anything after the credits or is it safe to leave when they start rolling?

I didn't stay for the end of the credits. I am pretty sure Bond movies aren't known for scenes after the credits ever. If there are any Bond movies with scenes after the credits, please do tell me, cause I've certainly missed them....lol.
