Ok, I finally get to show off my car, but.... i'm not posting them on the post. http://www.cardomain.com/id/jol102001
Thats the website. Please keep in mind that the glow really doesn't look good in the picture. If anyone has any ideas of how to get it looking brighter with out some photoshop please let me know. I also want my whole inside of the ride to light up, but i don't want to install neons or cathodes around the top. The reason I don't is because i don't want any neons showing during the day. No offense to anyone, but i think it looks tacky. Thats the only reason i have lights under the seat so far. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Please take my poll and sign the guess book. Oh, and please.. if you post .... don't put my ride or glow down... Thanx. |

I have the same mentality. They're a nice touch to the interior, cheap, and comfortable. Nothing ricer about them IMO. |

I think they are nice looking, specially if they color match your car. Plus they make the seatbelt confy by your neck/chest or whatever.

ehh... I have similar seatbelt pads on mine. I used to do a lot of road trips and driving for hours on end & they do help out in the comfort area, atleast on my car.
You can kinda see them here : Bigger pic in my gallery (interior section) Nice looking truck tho... L8R, |

jol, I'd suggest taking the plates off of your public car pics.. it kinda tells people who you are and where you live, so they know where to go to steal a phat ride (when you pimp it out) =P
Try putting some cathodes under the dash. Cathodes let off a lot of light, so the glow from them should light the inside of your vehicle pretty well without looking tacky during the daytime. If you really want to make it bright in there, you could always install some cathodes on the headliner under your sunvisors, so you don't see them during the daytime unless you fold your visor down.. just an idea =) |

The seat belt pads weren't put their for me... my g/f always complained about how uncomfortable the belts were and how much they rubbed and scrached her. It was either blue or black pads and since i have blue lights and its my fav. color, i went with the blue. But, yes, they are very comfortable.
Mav: I guess i could definitely black out the plates..... y am i soo stupid?... Should i go with cathodes or leds under the dash??? I have leds, but the cathodes will have to wait till i get money. i will definately think about the sunvisor cathodes too.. Thanks for the tips. |

if you want the whole car to glow, go cathodes. They have a much larger area of coverage, and are much brighter than the LEDs. LEDs are directional, so they will only make the floor glow.

Cathodes above visors = look awesome :-)
The whole plate thing - I never blocked my plates out - not once. And I caught 2 people 2 seperate times thinking they were getting away with tampering with my s10. I know take my plates off - but only at local car shows. Otherwise I dont give a damn - especially on the net. If someone from AZ wants to go through the trouble of finding my ride and trying to steal it - then I can have more fun with my bat |

Yeah, i wish someone would mess with it, b/c i do have that alarm on it. I've never had anyone set it off yet, besides peoples sound systems.
