It looks like the Piranha bar can be disassembled and cut (every 3rd LED) is that correct? If so, can I then cut the tube to a similar length and reassemble?

What is the best way to cut the LED strip? I was considering using a Dremel with a cut off wheel.

Thanks, Tom

Tom,

They can be cut Every 3 LEDs. A dremel will work, I think some people use scissors as well.

I cut one up using a Dremel with a cut off wheel and it was insanely easy.

I've got a similar question, when you cut the SMD bars, can you solder on wires to each section you have cut to the pos/neg tips so basically you'd have say 3-4 bars then out of a 20"?

Yes, each little section (3-led sections) have solder pads for wiring on both ends.

In this picture you can see the little black line every third LED, this is where you can cut the bar. You can also see the solder pads, which have a little plus and minus sign for easy wiring.
