does anyone know what kind of transformer in in those led bulb signs

--like those open signs--


i made a led sign with apox 100 led bulbs and using a plug in transformer

12v 1.25 amp the transformer keeps burning up after staying on for 10 mins or so

You'd need to check the CURRENT draw of the 100+ LED's and get a Transformer/Power supply that can supply the needed current ... Since we have no idea the LED's you used Ect it's pretty hard to guess

Just as a guess of 20 mA draw for each LED times 100 would equal 2 amps.

You need to know if there are any wired in series. You can typically wire 3-4 LEDs in series off 12V. That could easily drop the current to less than 1A
