Guy I used to hang out with in the Seattle area had a MKIII VR6 with a supercharger pushing 17psi on fully stock internals and that little beast could spin any gear at most speeds

Why do you keep talking about boost as if it's the limiting factor. The parts are going to break at a certain horsepower. With 14# boost, one could get 350hp o 400hp. It all depends on how the engine is built and how it's tuned.

I've seen two Mustangs (w/ the same block) running 8psi. One made ~350whp and the other was ~430whp.

Its not that its a limiting factor its that the 12v VR6 is simply one of the easiest engines out there to boost the crap out of because it can take a good deal of it. getting 450 on stock internals is a challenge but its very doable on the VR6 not to mention it sounds better than any car in the same class. I'm just stoked to see this car as its one of my favorite engines.

Yes, cuz a Neon with a Formula 1 wing is so much more high class right?

Looks like it's in good shape Robbie, browse some VW forums to get some ideas on what to do with it... icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks HYE. I thought you might like this alot more then the focus hahah.

I have been got some ideas already going. And am selling focus parts to put money into this car. This time it will all be quality time, effort, and money spent.

It's too much of a gem to half ass.

Well the fogs are in excellent condition THANKFULLY. Apparently from what i hear it's hard to find this car with both in good condition.

I have yellow nokya fogs waiting to be picked up on monday when i'm off work. And i already have silverstars in the headlights till i can order a new set of bulbs to fit these headlights and rock HID's again.

The wheels are nice as is but need to be sanded down bad due to road grime. So most likely they will be painted black and left with a silver lip. Also have a small system to install for my own personal liking.

let the mods begin!

Thanks ryu.

Aken yeah yeah. IMO all bikes look the same.

I HATE that streched tire ****. So i looked into rim width on my car and they are 6.5 wide. This being said i am going to look into some 245 tires to run, a drop with sway bars, then the turbo build will be starting this upcoming spring.

I'll have new pics after import alliance of the HID's and yellow fogs this weekend.

Thanks for the compliments those who have.

If you don't go the european stretch on a euro car and go with an american look people at AI are going to give you hell...

Stay true to the car and she will be flawless.

goto the vw forums and look in the styling section... get some NICE ideas there and don't rice out a euro car for F sakes...

Honestly now that you have a hal way decent car to start with... your focus only became more and more like a polished turd...

stretched tires aren't gonna work with what i want. I want WIDE tires. on aniceset of ASA or TSW wheels. I love the euro styling but there is a guy in town with a R32 and doesn't have stretched looks great.

I looked at the styling, the exterior will stay as she is seeing as though outside of a drop and some new wheels it already looks good and as it should.

Headlights are still undecided however. Probably going to keep what i have for now and try to score the hoods they make with a built in eyebrow for the headlights.

Totally up to you but expect to see me at the nashville IA, I will be with the euro crowd more than likely since I have really owned bimmers mostly...

wheels:
ASA = No
TSW = A little more Euro feel...

BBS 3 piece and your set...

Don't go overboard with your car man... you got a nice car to work with, you ruined your last which WAS a nice car... you have a fresh start and a good affordable platform with plenty of options...

Still not welcome in my threads.

Staying stock isn't euro. NOT stretching my tires doesn't make me rice. That's simply the dumbest thing i have ever heard. They wil have a nice beefy lip on them. But to say im going to rice it out is stupid. BTW it's a hood that comes lower on the headlights. not eyelids. Read up on Vdub forums youd learn that. Alot of them do it.

I am in love with these.

And these will most likely be the wheels i get. I think they would look great and have the mesh web design that i want.
