I'm looking for a clean 12" to 15" laptop. Looking to spend around $200 - $350. Anyone?

Eh, I would need to upgrade the hard drive and add more memory, more money than I want to spend. Thanks.

Hmm...I might be able to get my sisters older 15" Dell Inspiron from her and maybe sell it fairly cheap. I could ask her if you'd like.

Find a 12" should be easy. What specs do you require (since the one jdusty wasn't good enough)?

Sorry I wasn't too specific in my original post.
Dual Core Processor (AMD or Intel) >=1GB Memory Nvidia or ATI graphics chip would be awesome, otherwise IntelHD. >=60GB Hard Drive That's roughly what I'm looking for. Something I can code/design on so memory and cpu power is a must. |

I have a dual core T4200, 2gb ram, 40gb HD, Toshiba Brand. 14.1". Has video/sound controls on right side of keyboard. Not sure what video it is running, probably older Intel onboard, I will check when I get home on Monday. Battery is shot though. Can get a new battery + new HD for around $100. Will sell it for $250 shipped, making it $350 once you get the harddrive and new battery.
Will check for a bigger harddrive when I get home as well, I have quite a few laying around, it was being used by my Dad for internet so it didn't need more then 40gb.. |

If you get a chance, can I get the model number of that Toshiba?
I've got a 60GB I can throw in from my current laptop but I think I wanna find a 120 for some extra space. The one I have now doesn't have a battery in it, so if I move it quickly the cable comes out and it turns off. Very annoying when I'm working on it. So if you could get back to me with the model number/name I could probably figure out what kind of integrated card it has. |

Hey Tim, I am out of town for the weekend, but I believe it is a Toshiba M115-S3094 or something close to that.
Ram was upgraded to 2gb (might have another to make it 3gb). Also hard drive died and i just threw in a 40gb since it was only for web browsing. Battery lasts for about 20ish minutes. So you can move it, just not very far, hahha. |

I read some reviews on the model and they all seem to talk about how cramped the keyboard was because of the media controls on the left hand side. I do quite a bit of typing between internet and web site work, so a somewhat comfortable keyboard is important to me. It's got most of the specs I want and a great price, but I'm unsure on the design/comfort.

Ah, yes. A 17" screen is too big, portability is a must. I owned a 17 inch laptop in HS and it was pretty awful to carry around.

I've had two 17 inchers and liked them both very well.
They aren;'t convenient for moving at all though. |
