Okay, I will start of by saying I don't know very much at all about wiring. But I am wanting to learn.
But to the point, I will be installing a lot (around 50-75 LEDs, underglow, and a new prototype neon) of LED's in my vehicle, I want to run them all by using lighted rocker switches. The LEDs will be going throughout the whole vehicle, engine, under the dash on both driver and passenger, on the doors, center console, trunk in the fiberglass, etc.. I have a external battery powering everything from my trunk right now. I have read the pinned topics, and got a general idea of what I need to do. But I was wondering all of the supplies I would need, and the process of how I should go about doing this install. Also, the LEDs I'm getting are from Oznium, Super Bright LEDs 5mm blue, but also do I have to have the LED holders or can I just mount them as is? How are the chrome holders? Also, can I have some help with figuring up the resistors? And what I need and how many? The main thing I was wondering was if there was any main way to control all the LEDs at once or would I have to go with separate switches for a certain amount? |

Wellll for the led's your best bet would be to invest in:
-Soldering Iron -Solder -Heat Shrink -Possibly Resistors Honestly, the hardest part is going to be taking apart all of the pieces and fitting the led's. Are you going to wire the led's in parallel? |

Some of them are going to be about 4-6" apart. Probably about 3-4 in a line.
And what do you mean taking apart all of the pieces and fitting the led's? |

The LED holders are not necessary depending on HOW you want to mount them ...
You can drill holes into the piece and stick them thru from behind and a dot of silicone ect can hold them ... I would use them for the fiberglass as it's very hard to get a good hole with no splintering (the holder will hide that ... I'd sugest getting the prewired LED's with resistors it will save you time headaches and hassles.. Other things to add to the shopping list , fuses , crimp terminals , electrical tape , hook up wire to run between the LED's , the switches you want , you have to figure how many you want to control the lights , I like to do this in zones (internal) (external) and trunk |

How flexible are the prewired LEDs? Also for the holder, for the plastic, how much light is there? like is it spread really wide or sort of like just in one direction?
Also, for the switches, I was going to have 1 for the engine, 1 for the trunk, 1 for the interior, and 1 for the neons underglow. What type/size fuses should I get? And what sort of wire? |

Fuses we need to know the EXACT amount quanity /Type of LEDs / Neons ect to calculate fuse size ... Same goes for witing size need the loads ...
Prewired are pretty flexible and can be bent into fairly tight areas , ALL Led's hot spot they are directional and don't spread very wide on the beam (4 chipsuperflux are wider then most) but sanding the tops can help spread that out |

Okay.
The neons will be FlowLighting Inferno - Million Color LED UB Kit The LEDs will be Super bright pre-wired LED lights. About 20 in the trunk, around 10-15 in the engine, roughly 75 in the interior. It will probably be less though. |

It would be simpler to wire in a few light strips for truck and interior, and just use the pre-wired superbrights for the small areas (cup holders, etc) http://www.oznium.com/smd-bar http://www.oznium.com/led-ribbon |
