The front half of my car has always looked too dark to me but I couldn't figure out a neat way of lighting it. Until now that is... I've just replaced the lamps in my sunvisor vanity mirrors with some ICELED GEMs Even though the visors were only 1/2" thick the GEMs squeezed in like a dream. The great thing is they can be folded down to the ideal position for lighting the front of the cabin or closed-up and folded away when not needed...

I already have FLOODs up on the roof lighting the back seats and 1' tubes pointing in both directions under the front seats - but the front seats themselves were always in the shade. Not any more...

Thanks to UFO and a ZEN controller it all hangs toghether nicely now icon_biggrin.gif

there are other lights shown in the pictures. He has them under the dash, the UB and god knows where else icon_lol.gif

This pic looks like just the vanity lights:

What are these "Gems" you speak of? And this Zen Controller - does this help the UB kit or is it for adding more ICE accessories?

Warning: hard core light addicts only...

Gem's, Spots, Floods, 1 foot tubes are 2 million color light sources that can hook up to the ECU controller of a UFO kit. They can also hook up to a special controller called a ZEN, which allows you many more functions that operate seperately from the UFO kit.

Apart from a crop and a re-size, those are straight out of the camera. ICELED is all about using the best materials to get the best glow. Each GEM uses 6 Super-flux LEDs for example. All our stuff could have been made using budget LED's - but it wouldn't look anything like as good. There are some kick-ass LEDs out there today and it's our mission to get them lighting rides icon_twisted.gif

Just to add a bit more about UFO and ZEN... UFO runs the UB tubes but it also has an output with carefully chosen color data that harmonises with the UB pattern. This output is meant to drive interior ICELED light sources for a sync'd display. However, if you have alot of interior sources it would be nice to break them up and get even more control over them...

Enter ZEN which divides your interior into zones allowing each to have its own color and effect. One effect is 'UFO' i.e. it relays the UB color to the chosen zone(s) so it gives an amazing degree of flexibility. Furthermore, ZEN can recall 10 different setups from the remote control so you can quickly step from one arrangement to another without having to fiddle icon_lol.gif

Of course you don't have to connect UFO to ZEN - ZEN can be used on its own to run interior or exterior lights. It has its own sound reactive input and also a strobe program. In this respect it can be used like UFO. Hell, you could even swap a UFO with a ZEN and have it light your UB tubes - it just wouldn't scan.

I just found this other shot - you's guys ought to be impressed from the amount of glow UFO produces judging by some of the other photos I've seen around the place icon_lol.gif UFO uses a very wide angle LED so the beam cuts the ground over a wider arc. It makes it possible to move the tubes further in and get a glow that extends right the way under - like the neon fanciers prefer. When I get a chance I'm going to get her on a lift and re-position the tubes either side of the trans tunnel just to see.

I think you need to hide some LED's along the front of the head liner aimed down at your dash so it lights the top of your dashboard up. Maybe some in the vents too.

I think if he put some in the defroster vents along the windshield it'd handle both of your requests.

I think it looks amazing as is.
