What should the new Oznium's shipping policy be?

I've been trying to set up a way to figure out shipping quotes based on the products and zip code, etc... But it is way too complicated and isn't going to be exact.

I like thezeb's method of Free shipping on orders over $99

otherwise flat fee of $6.95

So if you buy an UB kit it is free shipping but if you buy a smaller item like a few LEDs and a cathode, it would be $6.95 shippin...

What do ya'll think?

Sounds like a good idea. This means that I'll never be buying a single LED though. Not that I would, but about $2 for an LED and $7 shipping wouldnt be what I want.

Well I agree but I wouldn't want someone to send out an LED for $2... Lets say I got em from my new supplier for 65 cents a piece... I'd have to use a 37 cent stamp and then take the time to put 1 LED in an envelope... Print out an address label... etc... Plus there is a 30 cent credit card transaction fee, and it really isnt worth my time to make 10 cents on one LED.

That's why by lowering the price of LEDs I would hope you order 10 or 20 at a time... So if you get 20 LEDs at 99 cents each they'd only be about $1.34 shipped icon_smile.gif

free shipping on a big UB kit and $7 shipping on small LEDs doesn't make too much sense to me. Maybe you should have a minumum credit card/paypal purchase or something.

I'm still debating the shipping stuff but I probably won't have the 6.95 shipping deal... LEDs will be more like $3 and Fusion kits $15.

I gotta program all this crazy stuff though so it's a bit of work...[/i]

Why not the $6.95 for orders over $10.00 and free over $100?? Or base it on what you pay i guess

It's probably gonna be based on why my actual costs are.

I'm working hard to figure out how to do it... There will be multiple shipping options... i.e. ground, 2nd day air, etc.

you should sell your led's in packets of like numbers divided by 4 or something or like a flat out 10 pack of led's or 20 or 30 somethin where you could have a set price always and then you wouldnt have to worry about people buy in 3 led's sell em like you would a pair of shoes, you cant buy just one shoe you gotta get a whole pair, or somethin, and havin to have so many options for the new site, keep it simple.
