 | | Out come. |
 | | (This is the rear wheel, How I did the front wheel is shown further ahead)
both 9.5" flex strips are mounted to the wheel well by drilling two holes and adding a zip tie and tieing down one end of the strip. |
 | | the other end of the flex strip is zip tied to what I think is the hose for the brake fluid. |
 | | if your installing in the front end of the car, you should wash the actual wheel well as good as you can just to get the dirt and some of the grease off. that way the sticky adheasive that comes with the strip will stick. |
 | | this is the flex strips mounted/zip tied in the perfect spot and lit. |
 | | this is underneith the car where I ran my wires, I drilled a hole by in the wheel well right next to where the wires lead into the flex strip and then ran the wires back under the car and up into a hole that you can drill in the bottom of the trunk. |
 | | this is where I had moved the carpet and luckily I didnt have to drill the hole, there was a cap I just removed and ran my wires through |
 | | this is the cap I removed at the bottom of the trunk from inside that car where I ran my wires through. |
 | | this is the carpet put back and the inside of my trunk looking like nothing ever happend :) |
 | | while my rim was off, I washed the back of it. which sucked but if you clean it of really good the chrome shines and reflects the light alot better which helps with how the wheels look once they are back on the car. |
 | | I myself added a thin coat of wax to my wheels (back side and front) waited for it to dry the rubbed it off. and it shines even better, be carefull not to get it on the lug nuts though, its hard to get off that area... |
 | | this is the wax I personally used, you can use any kind though I think. |
 | | Simoniz is the name of this stuff. just put a pic up in case anyone wondered what kind of wax I used.. |
 | | this is where and how I mounted the Flex strips on the ("FRONT") wheel wells. |
 | | this is where I ran the lead in wires through from the flex strip to the battery, I drilled a hole in the wheel well and fed them through as you can see.
afterwards I added electric tape to the part of the wire that is exposed, |
 | | this is the flex strips lit up. far away shot. |
 | | close up shot while on. |
 | | close up shot while off |
 | | they are pretty bright, this is a day time shot and you can still see them decently |
