Question
I live in Canada, and we have incredibly harsh cold winters, should i be worried about -40 temperatures and high snow fall ( they dont always get to plowing the street quickly) damaging the tubes? Also, If i buy this kit, and assemble it only to find out some led's are burnt out, what is the warrenty on this item? Thank you so much :) - by Larissa
Answer
If installed properly, your Inferno should handle the winter no problem. The cold will be no problem. The snow might be a hazard, but as long as you aren't battling blizzard conditions every single day, you shouldn't worry. The warranty is a one-year manufacturer's warranty - if you have any problems with the kit that are not user or installation error, we'll fix it. Make sure to test your kit for functionality upon receiving it, before installing it on your vehicle.
Question
I read that the kit has 14 feet of tubes and can handle another 8 feet of tubes is there anyway to extend this?
Answer
No. However our new Inferno V2 is capable of handling a virtually unlimited number of tubes.

Answer
- Both tubes will do the same thing. The pattern is not extended.
- This is possible, however it takes some very custom wiring and is not recommended for the average user. It will also void any warranty.

Question
I previously asked if these had a domelight wire (as the StreetGlow kit does) and I was told that I could simply add a relay on the power line to turn it on when I opened my doors.
My question is: is the power button a momentary-push to turn the unit on, or is it more like an actual switch so if the unit loses power while it's On, it remains on when power is readded to the power line? - by John (Tinley Park, IL)

Answer
The power switch is a rocker switch. It is not momentary.
If the unit loses power, the LEDs turn off. As soon as power is re-applied, the unit turns on.

Question
Section 316.2397 of the Florida State Law expressly prohibits the display of red, blue, or flashing lights on a non-state vehicle. Are underground kits an exception to this law, or are certian functions of this kit prohibited in certain states? - by Travis (Ft. Lauderdale, FL)
Answer
Even if the law says they are legal, you could still get pulled over and hassled because the cops may not know the law. Even if they are illegal, you could go for years without getting pulled over because cops don't care enough, or might not see you. If you have some LEDs under your dash you will probably be ok. If you have flashing red and blue LEDs glued all around on the outside of your car, chances are, you'd get pulled over.
Trying to figure out the legality of LEDs in a certain area can be very difficult. It isn't as simple as looking up the vehicle code for your state. Vehicle code can be very confusing and conflicting. Even a call or email to your local police station can be misleading.
People have been told one thing and even had written proof, only to be pulled over and slapped with a ticket by an officer who may not know the intricacies of the law.
Regardless of the law in your area, there are things you can do to reduce your chances of being hassled.

- Hide the light source so it is not directly visible from the road. Make a shield with a long piece of "L" aluminum or steel. Use black electrical tape to hide a section of the light.
- Take extra caution to obey all laws. If LEDs are perfectly legal in your area, and you are speeding just a few miles over the limit, a cop is more likely to give you a speeding ticket than if you had no lights on.
- Save the strobing red/blue for the car show or your driveway. Blue and red might be fine to cruise with as a solid color, but as soon as they strobe, you may cross the line as "impersonating a cop"
- Keep a copy of the vehicle code in your car. You can just print or copy the section that deals with lighting. Present it to the officer if you are pulled over.
- Respect police officers. They protect you when you are being shot at, they protect you when your house is broken into. Respect them and they should respect you.
Question
Do you sell a extention cable for the display so you have more options in the mounting location of the remote display ? Or is this something I can pick up from a radio shack or anything. I tried a ps2 computer cable but it is close but not the same.
Answer
We do not sell an extension cable for the display. You can try a larger electronic store for the proper cable.

Question
Is there a wheel well kit for the inferno ?
Answer
No, but you can use 1-foot tubes. If you think you can't fit them in the wheel well, think again. Be creative. They don't have to go on top. In fact, they'd give the best effect shining from the bottom up. I guarantee if you remove the wheel, and peek your head around the wheel well area, you can find a place to mount them.
Question
Is this kit expandble or would you have to buy a separate kit to run more than just the 4 tubes ?

Question
Does this have a power on/off mode and can you get it in longer tubes than the 3 foot and 4 foot sections?

There is a power button on the remote control. There is also a physical power switch.
3 and 4 foot sections are the longest available. If you need longer tubes, why not put 2 tubes end to end?

Question
Myself and two friends are looking at to get the Inferno kit. If ordering more than one, are there any perks, such as cheaper shipping? Or even pack them as one package instead of 2 or 3? And is it possible to mark as "gift" for shipping purposes? - by Mike (Edmonton Alberta Can)
Answer
Sure! We can bundle the kits together so they ship as one package. It will save a lot in shipping. When you're ready order, give us a call or just order online. Put a note in the order comments reminding us to pack them together and discount the shipping cost. It is not possible to mark as "gift" for shipping purposes.
