All Customer Questions

Question
Do you have a similar product that would be suitable for 'under-desk' mounting over a pull-out keyboard? Would this generate adequate light for
keyboard illumination? - by Bob
Answer
Yes, this product is suitable for that.
Question
Does the 12" light strip come with an on/off or full-range dimmer switch in the line? - by Bob
Answer
This does not come with any on/off or dimmer switches.
Question
What is the amperage of each warm white plani?
Answer
Each 12" piece will use 330 mA
Question
My Plani is plug terminated on both ends and has 4 wires: red, black, blue and white. Is it to be assumed that the red, black is the positive and negative? - by John (Mobile, AL)
Answer
Your best bet is to experiment. If you get it wrong it will simply not light and will cause no damage to the product.
Question
My RV has the standard 2 wire 12 volt system but your plani bar is plug terminated. What would the hard wire schematic be? - by John (Mobile, AL)
Answer
You can simply cut the white wire coming out of the Plani Linear Light, strip back the rubber insulation, and expose the 2 power wires. Hook them up to your 12 volt system. If it doesn't light up, flip the polarity around and it will light up.
Question
How long is this fixture?
Answer
A little under one foot.
Question
Can these be connected to outline the outside roofline of a house for holiday decorating? Can they remain up permanently?
Answer
I would not recommend this product for exterior use, as it is not waterproof. I would use our Waterproof SMD Bar http://www.oznium.com/smd-bar
Question
Can I install this as a replacement for a ceiling UV fixture in my RV?
Meaning: will I have a power cord running all the way down the wall or can I hard wire this light directly into the ceiling wiring where the UV light is currently? - by randy
Answer

If your UV light is running off of 12V, you can hard wire the Plani Linear Light. If not, you will need to convert the electricity to 12V with an AC adapter. According to this diagram your UV light should be using 12V.
