Too bad he didn't take them icon_biggrin.gif At least I'm fairly certain he didn't.

Pics are indeed very nice, though. Props to whoever did take them, Bjorn or not.

I LOVE the top picture....I think it might be better though if the car hadn't been there.

Sweet pics though

That first picture is great. I couldn't take my eyes off it for a while.

(I like that car in the background)

I setup the shots, and my boy Drew took em. He's got one of those fancy $3500 nikon digital slrs. He's doing the MPLS "Hot Import Nights" show.

COULD I have taken em? Yeah, I know my stuff. I just spent that extra 3-4k on my bike instead of a camera biglaugh.gif

The car in the background was hard to keep out, because that intersection has cars going through it all the time. I both like it, and dislike it. Oh well icon_rolleyes.gif

How do you get that....what do you weigh like 30 lbs.... My motocross bike is 260lbs dry curb weight, I believe....that might be wet, but who cares, that's without the rider on a 2-wheeler.

Please elaborate.

Thanks, it's hard work on a motorcycle, but I *hate* unclean installs.

I have 10mm blue LED's in the very outer corners. The halo rings were custom made (by me, in my oven) and have 2 SuperFLux LEDs per ring.

It's just overall glow. There really isn't any reflection off the bike itself, simply the output of light.

Well, I haven't really talked about specifics on the glow. I'll do that now, in addition to all the other add-ons.

HEADLIGHTS
4 halo rings, 2 SuperFlux per ring (8 SuperFlux total)
2 10mm LEDs (outer corners of the headlights)
2 Whelen Strobes (in the projectors)

ENGINE
4 9.5" FlexStrips (around the open areas, mid-engine)
2 19" FlexStrips (running along the bottom, near the exhaust)

SUBFRAME/REAR
6 5mm LEDs (drilled into the subframe plastics shining downward)

TAIL LIGHT
10 5mm LEDs
Bulit-in RED Blinkers
Rewired circuit board to strobe the tail lights w/ headlights

2003 Yamaha R6 (currently with 22,500 miles)
-Custom Paint
-Akrapovich full "Evolution" exhaust
-GPR Stabilizer
-Vortex Clip-ons
-Vortex Frame Sliders
-Vortex Engine & Stator Cover
-Giles Rearsets
-Penske Rear shock
-RaceTech fork internals
-DID/AFAM 520 Conversion
-Stainless Steel Brake Lines
-Custom Fender Eliminator w/ LED license plate bolts
-Integrated turnsignals
-Michelin Pilot Powers
-Blue accent lights (angel eyes, engine, tail light)
-Whelen Strobes (headlights)
-Pinstripe Seats (going Argyle next season)

Thanks for all the comments.

As far as the halo's... you start with acrylic rod and throw it in the oven, 250* for 10 minutes. Shape it to what you want.

itzbjorn, i love your R1. The pics you took make it look awesome. I am doing a blue led light mod to my '04 zx-6r. Have any pics and/or pointers on how you got all the ambient lighting instead of making the led's visible? What did you use in total? Hope mine looks half as good as that!

Edit: Just realised the thread jack post i just threw up. Disregard

I'll update my mod list in a second. As far as not making them visible, you just have to use the contours of the bike when mounting to the plastics and whatnot. It's tricky, but with time and patients, you can do it!

Wow, that is one sick bike! Don't know what made me think it was an earlier gen R1. Maybe the dual Halo setup. Once i get mine done after a few weekends i will make a thread and post up some pics.

Good Job with the lights and the overall bike mods.
