Well, after talking to a fellow HHr owner and friend for years from another car forum, i decided to colormatch my taillights, marker lights and add headlight eyebrowls.

here is the finished product.

this will be the last of the mods and pics till the car gets out of the bodyshop.
after that it will be HIDs, OEM fogs and a sliding ragtop.

oh, went to the Columbus International Autoshow and got a pic of my daughter in a new HHr SS.

Unique. I kind of like it.

I liked your other grill a little better though. Just me personal opinion.

Do you mind asking how you went about doing that and does it affect the clarity/visibility for other drivers?

Nice, I think it looks pretty cool.

Definitely one of the better looking HHR's ive seen. I really, really like those wheels.

Its probably already been discussed on another thread around here, but can you get the Panel wagon looking HHR's from the factory?

hit it with a lil heat to get the wrinckles out.
its not perfect if you get up on them but oh well, its my 1st time doing it.
lol

the light can still be seen dimly in direct sunlight.
im my well lit garage they light up nicely. i plugged my 3rd eye back in just incase.

So wait. You car barely see your brake lights in the daytime sun! Um, isn't not getting rear ended more important than looking good?!?!?

IDK. I just don't like the look of that car from the start. Not my kind of thing. But the wheels are THE sex. Keep up the good work.

Your grill has a couple of the billet pieces bent towards the bottom. Id fix that.

Looks sweet though.

only thing I'd suggest is color matching the chrome around your headlight and turn signal, makes a unique look as well as blends the headlights into the body that much more...

either way I'd say this is one of the better looking HHR's I've seen beyond the four that were build on Rides on TLC...

here are some night pics.

these are just the running lights, no brake lights.

bout 30' away

don't mind the messy garage. i can't wait till spring cleaning.
lol

i don't get what the difference is in my taillights then a set of GTO taillight covers?
i know the covers can be taken off, but the light output is the same.

hell, i drove around with blackout on my z24 for 2 years cause my taillight was busted and never had a problem.
lol
plus i live in a small town and i don't think the cops care or know any different.
oh well, when i cop tells me to take them off, then i will. till then they are on there. or at least till i get my LED taillights.lol

Hrm, I notice you have T8 bulbs in those lighting fixtures - well, T8s or T6's. T8 fixtures are notorius for bad ballast - so if one goes bad - let me know. We have HUNDREDS of brand new GE Ballast laying around.

Back on topic - I like the looks. Defe. the best HHR I've EVER seen.

good mod...not my style though....

Definetely unique and havent seen it before....just meshes too much into the car for my liking....and NO to the window covers....makes it look too much like a mini van or hearse...

you should think about dumping the fart can (sorry had to) for a central exhaust system with dual tips...since you are going to the shop anyway and if you can afford a new rear fascia it would look a lot better

Best HHR I've ever seen. You don't take those wheels out in the salt though, do you? The thought makes me cringe.

new rear bumper would be a roll pan with options on where i want the exhaust cutout.
$795 for JUST the rear.

yes, i drive the car everyday.
bout 2-3 times a week i take it to the car wash and hose all the salt off of it.

Nice, love the silver-out on the rear tails . If only you could silver that bowtie on the back too, and maybe clean up the license plate, but I'm not sure how . Frame painted to match the body ?

a guy on my HHR forum took the rear beauty bar, part over tag with bowtie, and shaved the bowtie off and smothed it out and painted it.

looks real nice.

Nice looking HHR.

The roll pan will give the back a nice smoother look.

Getting Teazer? I have theirs on my PT

i want the Teazer front and rear but at $800 a piece, i just can't do that for a while.

i wish the aftermarket support for the HHR was as good as the PT, but i guess ill have to give it a couple more years.

im talking with a company right now that is looking at making aftermarket for the HHR.
they did ALOT for the Probe community, just hoping they can do the same for the HHR community.

I don't know whether posting other business is OK or not but have you seen this site -

http://raceandstreet.com/MainPage.php

They do a lot for the PT Club and are great to deal with. Excellent service.

They've started doing HHR stuff also

I kinda liked the color-matched tails - different. But not if the tails were barely visible in the daylight - getting hit is NOT a good thing. Perhaps you could swap out the stock lamps for a brighter alternatives (LEDs perhaps) to compensate for the tint?

I NEVER like tinted headlights though - that's one area where I don't think you can afford ANY amount of reduction in light output. Unless it's a pure show car, of course...
