We did a few runs up the steep hills with 4WD, then hit the mud pit. We couldn't get all the way through, but were able to reverse out of it. I went back in for a second try, and ended up breaking the transfer case, so my 4WD was shot icon_sad.gif Still drove around in the more mild stuff.

I think we pulled out 11 trucks from this mud pit. I made it the farthest though!

Turned quite a few heads on the way home, haha.

Enjoy the pics and video:

Very nice phil. You should only clean the UB now and drive around with a mud covered truck that glows.

Yea cleaning can be a hassle. But its worth it.

Hey Phil, Maybe you already know this tip but I normally just put a sprinkler under my truck for an hour or so to losen up the crap for the power washer.

The tC doesn't get the same amount of attention though.

By the way, the garage is being lit with like 6 x 13 Watt LED bulbs icon_cool.gif

Nothing, he just doesn't drive it as often as other vehicles.

The Highlander is the runt of the litter now. It just sits in the garage, lonely.

I mudded a couple of times with my truck (last vehicle). It was always a blast but cleaning up afterwards always sucked. The mud will also get into places like rod ends and wheel bearings and cause havoc. I'll do it again once I get a beater that I don't care about gettting scratched and tearing up.

Phil, you need to throw a set of BFG mud terrains on that next to see how much better it gets around in the mud.

Driving home tonight... the front drive shaft snapped off from the transfer case. Was spinning/rattling around like crazy as I barely made it home going like 3 mph.

Gotta pay to play I guess lol

Also, look at the blue bar that is supposed to go from the passenger side wheel hub to the cradle. Somehow the heim joint came unbolted from the cradle. I just had it aligned 2 weeks ago, and I dunno maybe, they didn't tighten it properly.

Little surprised those STS's handled the mud that well with that big-ass truck.. primarily a sand and a/t tire around here.

Glad to see you took it out and got it dirty and broken, if you don't break something you aren't playing hard enough icon_smile.gif

Might I suggest you go over the rest of the suspension and drivetrain components with a fine-tooth comb to verify everything is snugged down properly? Would suck if you ended up with a catastrophic drivetrain/suspension failure while at speed icon_redface.gif
