ok well i got a new truck.... traded my black 99 civic put back mostly stock for this 97 C1500 extended cab pickup truck. i like this truck much more than my old truck even tho its stock...
because it has the 3rd door option and also the 5.7/350 vortec motor. my old truck was just the 5.0/305 TBI and also had a odd shift issue that i never got looked at.

only downfall to me is the tan... BUT the tan is inside and outside so just repainting the truck wont work icon_sad.gif
and yes ive thought about swaping the whole interior BUT finding everything in good condition will definatly be very hard to do!!!
not that i wont try it.... over time... hardest part will be geting the dash.

but anyways that will take a very long time to piece together so im just going to try and flow with the tan color.

now i know at night it will be dark but id like it to flow nicely still....
so my question is.... is orange lighting to much? or do you think it would match beter than blue or green?

whats your opinion??????

dont worry i didnt wreck it.LOL i bought it wrecked from a tow yard like this.
already done 99-00 front end upgrade since it needed all new front end anyways ;) which luckely all the damage was just minor sheet metal. just radiator support and the front sheet metal. frame wasnt touched ;)
i also already swaped the 96-98 heater controls out for the 99-00 controls/console as well a very nice upgrade IMO!
and i also upgraded the seats to 99-00 ex seats... only thing that is left to swap on the civic now to make it look just like a 99-00 civic is the rear seat. after i swap that no one will ever think it is a 96-98 civic ;)

in the spring im gonna fix all the body work on the back half of the car, just minor dents and dings with alittle hail damage on the roof and trunk lid. very minor at least!
and im going to paint the car a gunmetal color, full paint job... well not complete yet... im going to leave the engine bay silver for now until i pull the motor/tranny to replace the clutch eventualy just for the hell of it and THEN ill paint the engine bay to match.
not much performance mods to it tho... only slight performance mod im going to do is try to get a Y8 intake manifold for it so i can ditch the weak straight up DX intake. no Vtec head swap tho. not worth it IMO.
tho i do have a stock EX cat converter, O2 extender wires and my old stainless steel header from my 99ex that im going to swap onto it eventualy.... only thing i really need to swap all of that is a mounting flange so i can mount the stock dx piping onto the EX cat since they are diferent. pretty minor tho. should look alot better!

but ive been putting the civic on hold for a bit at least until i drop the truck 4/6 then ill be pretty happy and start further modifying the civic. which ive also got suicide door hinges for at a later time. im gonna paint the car first and then suicide the doors.

most of the parts i stripped off it will be going onto the 96 civic.
already slapped the wheels on it since i put my 2 good tires from it onto the black one before i sold it... since i basicaly only gave him 2 good tires and 2 really weak tires on 13s on the rear.... ;)

o come on.....LOL i like that combo ;)
tho i might split them up and put the skull frame on the rear. just because the front frame doesnt mount flat.

but anyways.... i still have no idea what color to go with. icon_sad.gif
