I started out last weekend on a short trip 150 miles north of San Francisco for a relaxing few days at an ocean house rental with family.

I'd never been further north of that area, so after the relatives went back home, I headed north to see what the California coast was like.

One thing led to another, and now I've decided to take the Scion tC for a drive around the United States and meet customers in their hometown's along the way.

I'd like to buy you lunch (or breakfast, or dinner, or a drink).

I want to see how people live in other parts of the country. I want to see all the unique ways that Oznium products are used. And maybe squeeze in a few fun activities or adventures.

Anyone near this route up for it?

Possible Route: Minneapolis -> Milwaukee -> Chicago -> Ohio -> NYC / NJ -> Jacksonville, NC -> Savannah, GA -> Florida -> Louisiana -> Texas -> Oklahoma

That'll be at least 8000 miles round trip icon_eek.gif

So far...

Last Tuesday Apr 7 - From California to Coos Bay, OR (crash in the back of tC)
Wednesday - Meet Tdawgthegreatest for breakfast in Florence, OR, and hit the ocean sand dunes for an hour. Sushi lunch with Q45guy (voice greeting of our 800 number) in Portland, OR. Crash at kramer13's (aka juice / justin) place in Seattle, WA.
Thursday - Hang out with Justin in Seattle, see the space needle, and pike place market. Hand feed squirrels at the park.
Friday - Check out the Microsoft HQ in Redmond, then meet up with 02BlueStang in Lynnwood. Check out a local Mustang club meet, get some Thai food, play xbox, movie, gun lesson.
Saturday - Leave Seattle area and drive to Idaho to meet up with the_mastor for a quick tour of his college town. Decide to go to the shooting range (first time for both of us). Crash in the tC (seats folded down, and queen size air mattress inflated)
Sunday - Drive all the way to Minneapolis and crash at the Hotel Ivy downtown.
Monday - Call around to a few tire shops to find someone that can install a new set of low pro's for the tC the same day. Got new tires and alignment. Check out the hotel spa & get a Lomi Lomi Hawaiian massage. BBQ and fire pit with some Scion friends in Bloomington.
Tuesday - Room service breakfast delivered at 8 am. Relax some more at the spa. Wander around downtown and the riverfront. Treat DJTricky, Barbie, Stompy, Bjorn and two of his ZGirls to dinner at a place that supposedly only uses LEDs to light the restaurant. Photo shoot under the I35 bridge (which is now lit up with color changing LEDs).
Wednesday - Drive to Wausau Wisconsin and have lunch at a cool Gyros place with clutch1 and see his sick car. Continue driving to Milwaukee. Surprisingly good Mexican food with Aken, Korn, justadream, thecarrieann. Rode a motorized giant chili pepper. Played foosball, pool, and whooped everyone at darts.
Thursday - Do some errands with Aken. Get buffalo wings and mini corn dogs with Aken, Drea, and Carrie for lunch. Sushi for dinner with Aken, Brenna, and a few of her friends. Play with some bearded dragons, and hang out later at Korn's.
Friday - Say goodbye to Aken, as he's going on a road trip with his parents. Go to lunch in Milwaukee with pork at an awesome place called the Safe House which is a spy / james bond themed restaurant. Enjoy an intense mountain biking trip with pork and korn (he crashes into a tree). Culvers and Fast and Furious drive in theatre.
Saturday - Drive 2 hours to Chicagoland, and try paintballing (for the first time!) with KrzysD and J_Martin. Check out SilentAlero's shop, and then head to downtown Chicago to wander around Michigan Ave and State Street.
Sunday - Check out the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry.
Monday - Drive to Columbus Ohio and get dinner with a big gang of people at Smokey Bones. TRogers, coolbam, justinwebb, YR1HHR. Cool group of people. Keep on driving north in Ohio and sleep in the back of the tC in Painesville OH.
Tuesday - Meet up with 02cougarman at 5:30 am, and then head up to Niagara Falls. Lunch at a mediterranean place in downtown Rochester. Meet up with CorvetteCrazy and Chris. Really cool peeps.
Wednesday - Drive to Concord, New Hampshire and meet up with another e-commerce site owner.
Thursday - Lunch in Boston at a Japanese fusion. 5 minutes later, there's a full on acrobatic show right outside in the plaza. Continue driving to NYC. Chill at an executive lounge with fancy bottled water and h’orderves. Chat with a friend who used to work at StreetGlow. Dinner at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant with Kris in the Hotel London. I didn't think it was that great. Service was a bit weird, and food was meh.
Friday - Decide it'd be cool to stay in NY for a month, so I look around on Craigslist for apartment deals. Find something a few blocks away in a great location, and within 2 hours, I've got it for a month. Go to New Jersey for a ScionNRG club meet & dinner.
Saturday - Amazing 3 hour thai massage at by far the best spa I've been to. See the show "Fuerza Bruta" which is similar to Cirque du Soleil. Lots of cool effects with acrobatics, colors, sounds, and water. Wander around looking for a Thai restaurant. Subway back to columbus circle, and then check out the rooftop club at the empire hotel.

If you make it to Florida before the 28th you are welcome to stop in Gainesville and hang out and even crash at my place if you need to. I know there's at least 4 other members in the general area.

If it's after the 28th I'll be back in Fort Lauderdale for a week and I don't know if you would want to make the trek all the way down there. icon_lol.gif

There's not much to do here in West KY besides relax on the lake or go to the waterpark, but if you want to stop by here I'll let you see the model concert stage in person icon_lol.gif

Oh, there's a classic car museum a few miles off from me. I've never been there though. http://lakebarkleyclassiccarmuseum.com/default.asp?id=456689

I'm close. I work in Columbus and live 25 minutes south of it. But it's hard telling what my schedule will be like, we're cruising into the busy season at work and I usually go on the road quite a bit to get our customers up and running.

It is downtown, if you need directions here you go:

52 S 2nd St
Memphis, TN 38103
(901) 523-2746

Just go there or Neely's I grew up with their son 4th thru 8th grade in memphis.. Neely's are a great close nit family. Their uncle has Interstate BBQ which is also very well known.

If you want more ideas let me know!

Yea, I have seen their show... they are not like that in person. Very relaxed smiling calm people. Thats how I remember them growing up! I had BBQ every grade I graduated when their son was in my class! Mrs Robiatie's(5th grade) class sucked tho she didn't like BBQ so they brought it anyways hahahaha

Their uncle is like the coolest guy ever he is the one that taught them so much! At interstate the BBQ sandwhich is seriously 3 or 4 lbs of meat...

Meh. I have always been straight up and honest. I am a 53 year old trucker looking for some male butt ****.

Pretty straight forward imo. They always know what type of situation they are walking into.

As long as you yell SURPRISE BUTT **** you're golden.

Back on topic, we could probably round up the 3 or 4 of us that are in Houston and Phil can buy one big lunch instead of 4 small ones icon_lol.gif

If you decide to swing through East TN, there's some amazing family owned BBQ places around here that'll really give ya a taste of our culture icon_razz.gif

West TN is real BBQ... Sorry... I grew up in Memphis... Silly East TN people not wearing shoes and having bad teeth I swear you guys are crazy! You might have to walk down off your mountain hehehehe

Anyways...

Awesome man! I did this once back in 03... went to cali and back.. not a giant loop though heh!

Be safe and respect the speed limits haha

Everytime I start to disagree with someone saying we're the rednecks in East TN, I realize that there is really only pockets of civilization, and the rest is....well...pretty bad lol.

Phil was in little Wausau Wisconsin around noon today :)

We were both a little bit of a tight schedule (I had school and he had further traveling, lol), but it was a good time! Had some Gyros at a Greek place and ate outside in the absolutely amazing weather it was today! then some glow pictures, of course.

Those 35 pics are awesome! Phil mentioned them but I didn't realize the spot was so epic! hehe.
I wanna go there sometime

Here's my pics.. should've paused that darn underbody kit.. green/purple tunred into aqua icon_lol.gif
