Extending Cathode Wire Length

Hi, can anyone tell me if it would be OK to extend the length of the wire from the transformer to the light itself? Looking to mount them under seats but need more slack for when the seat needs to be moved back and fourth.

just buy another trandformer... or double them up.

Actually you can extend cathodes, I've got a set in my PC that I extended one of the two and it's ran strong for over 4 years. The key is to use the white power wires that comes with the cathodes which can easily be harvested from broken/damaged cathodes.

^But it is HIGHLY frowned upon to extend them. As 90% of the time, they wont work or be VERY dim afterwords.

Guess more people have had issues that I have... works great for me and isn't noticeable dimmer...

Im sure the cathodes dont sell as well as they used to, I wonder if itd be worth it to stock those now? Maybe 4 years ago when cathodes were the only way really.

There are always people buying cathodes, I mean HOW many of these cathode threads have we had recently, wether it be the transformers or the wires.
