Does anyone know if I need to use a relay with my 55w 8000k hid kit on my 2006 hyundai sonata???

I Always recomend a relay and direct battery connection for main power , it prevents major harness damage and prevents low voltage troubles

I ALWAYS use a relay....regardless of 55W or 35W....with 55 i would DEF recommend using a relay or you are going to have HID lights that flash, flicker, don't come on all the time and it will shorten the life of your bulbs, ballasts and cause possible damage to your stock wiring.

thanks, I thought I would probably need the relay. Just wasnt sure cause the kit did not come with one. Do you know if I would be able to buy one anywhere over the counter, or do I have to get it online?

Any of the 30 amp Bosche Style relays , Autozone / Advanced auto / napa / even radio scrap carry them
