Available now here:

It has a slightly bigger footprint than the single colors. The LED itself is the same size, with 3 chips inside. Red, Blue, and Green chips. Together they can make millions of colors.

Doesn't come with a controller. Comes with 4 wires, and resistors, so ready to work on 12 volts.

4 wire hook-up: common positive, red ground, blue ground, green ground.

This is a popular controller that would work great:

I'm anxious to see what creative uses ya'll come up with for these biglaugh.gif

Pic of the single color LED. RGB style looks nearly the same:

hey Phil...how synchronous are these without a controller, say operating multiples of these from a single power source and single switch. I have a bunch of the 5mm, 7 color blinking LEDs from Crap Shack and they are all right (aside from the start up test phase) but the real issue for me is that they will NOT synch up no matter how wired. I'm wanting to put three RGB leds inside the opening to the spitters that are mounted on the wall of my pool so that they illuminate the stream at night and these work, but again, I want to be able to control not only each one individually, but also have then perfectly synch-able as well. Also, if I understand correctly, these can be cycled through individual colors , correct? (steady blue instead of rotating for example)

thanks bro!

These do not have any built-in controller.

There's three individually controllable LED chips (red, blue, green).

A common positive wire, and three individual negative wires to light up each of the colors.

Of course you'd then hook these four wires to your LED controller, and go crazy.

Or this one is also very popular:

We offer a 5mm LED that has a tiny built-in controller chip inside of the LED itself (similar to what you already got from RadioShack): https://www.oznium.com/led-bolts-prewired-leds/rgb-color-changing-led Yes, you're completely right, those 5mm ones will never sync. If you want more than one multi-color LED to sync, you really need to go with something that has four wires + a separate LED controller.

Wish you the best of luck with your project icon_smile.gif
