I found a light bar under my car it is one of the green light led bars that come in the optx underglow kit but I don't have the controller and wanted to wire it up and see if it works and possabily put back under my car

Can you take some photos of it? Including the connector, so we can see how it is wired.

They arn't a verry good quality but you can see what the wires are and the plug i will see if i can get better pix

hmm, I don't think I've ever seen an optx kit, so I'm not even sure of how they are wired anyway.....doubt I can help, unless i find a diagram or schematic for it

You can just start hooking up random wires to a 12 volt source and see if anything lights up. Use trial and error to reverse engineer it.

My guess is 5 wires are ground for the different tube segments, and another 1 wire is for positive. And 2 wires probably aren't hooked up to anything.

Unless the tube has microprocessors / integrated circuits in it, you can't really screw anything up by doing this.

That looks to me like the seven color kit ... The single color kits are 1 flat connector not the amphenol you pictured
