Anyone khow to make a H8 HID work on H4 wiring, I was given a H8 Hid kit to convert my motorcycle, and I would love to know how to rewire it to fit.

arent h8 and h4 referring simply to bulb size? Use the ballast and get a bulb that fits

From what I have found out so far , H4 is a combined H/Low bulb and H8 is seperate High and low bulbs.
The bulb fits ,however the wiring is diferent because the bike is wired for H4 and the new Kit is for H8, the problem seems to be the rewiring of this and incorporating the seperate power fuse and relay supplied.

Why don't you get a bulb that is designed for your application and keep your stock high beam. Hids take about 15 seconds to warm up which is longer than high beams are usually even left on for.

The low/high beam is the worst type of bulb unless you have a halogen bulb on the side of the hid like the image at the bottom. The magnet engineering in the hi/low hid bulb is a crock of ****. Never had anything but problems.. that's my personal experience.

Thanks Jordan, The bulb I have is exactly like the one you have posted. I have managed to get it working but think I have now blown the Hid bulb in the process. Glad this has not been a costly exercise and I can start from scratch. Do you have a particular manufacturer you would recomend for a H4 Hid for a motorcycle.
