well i thought about oznium for my newest project and i realized how much i miss this place haha. well i still own the tahoe. . . but its "seen better days". in the mean time i have my daily driver. a 2002 saturn vue ecotec 2.2 manual. i have gotten some parts on it.

flowmaster 44 series muffler, custom 4 inch short ram intake, cobalt ss 2.4 cams, ecu, megan lowering springs (not shown) and a bunch of audio stuff too. its in the process of getting turboed.

but i figured i would update you on my previously mentioned project. im making a custom fiberglass front and rear bumper set. that will make my vue stand out in a crowd.

heres some pics.

icon_razz.gif its not my distributor haha, my car used a DIS system (distributor less ignition system). i used the factory coil triggers and used them to trigger the new coils.

A very nice ecotec mod you've got there.

I've got an extra ecotec valve cover that I'm gonna clean up here seen and either paint or powder coat to place on my car.

so i got some work done on my front bumper. icon_biggrin.gif i piled on the foam (9 cans of spray foam)

then i started sanding lol

i cut out the pockets for the fogs.

then i got my new fogs in the mail :D

and realizing that these are ALOT smaller then i thought i had to add in can # 10 to the bumper to fill in my previously cut out fog pockets. once i get all the foam in shape and smoothed out i will be making a fiberglass mold of the bumper so i can then reproduce the kit(front and rear ;) and sell them. it might take me a wile to finish seeing as i will be buying around 300$ worth of glass matt and styrofoam safe resin and stuff. but let me know if anyone can come up with a way to mount the eclips leds in the lower fog pockets (will need to be cut again)

what all do i have to seal up on them?

and thanks, i needed to make space for the intercooler. and wile i was doing that i figured i would just make my OWN, custom set lol. because mainly. im tired of my vue not standing out between every other vue on the road. haha. i have some glow in it already. just under the dash. in the speakers and now in the vents. there will be plenty more to come. (sorry for the crappy cell pics.)

yeah, im using the foam to get the shape i want then im going to make a fiberglass mold of the bumper. then i will use the mold to make the NEW front bumper from it. i wont be using the stock bumper at all. it will be replaced with a 1 piece fiberglass one.

in the future i feel as if i will be making a different slightly less "smoothed out" more aggressive "drifter" style front. i also will be making a rear roll pan style bumper.

PLEASE do not use those as fog lights. Look how absolutely terrible that beam pattern is. You're going to be shining it in EVERYONE'S face.

No. Don't use them ever. How does using them in bad weather make them any less annoying to other drivers? Put a real projector in there, you'll be happier.

Haterade has nothing to do with it. I'm against anything that affects the safety of other drivers. Those LED units, while very cool in appropriate applications, are not meant to be used as fog lights.
