i guess ill start
civics
integras
del sols
95-99 eclipse

anybody care to add?

mm domestic can work..and i said no high end..you think i can afford an rx-7?
mmm preferably used though so scion is out. that way i dont need full coverage, and i have a lil more room to spend..plus the pricing of a new can equal a used + mods

goal is a peppy car with a nice rpm range..and torque thatll pull through most of that range..hence imports came to mind

well ill level with ya..i got to drive my friends firebird formula..the torque is enough to break your neck icon_cool.gif
but it was heavy and the handling wasnt great cuz of that..it didnt wanna keep traction either icon_cry.gif
it feels good to drive them..but the gas mileage and handling worries me

id still prolly sport a z28 if i could find a nice condition one though

ya the gas milage isnt that stellar...its a compromise. with an over drive tranny u can run semi steep gears for off the line go but still get decent mpg. i knew a kid with a 96 GTS stang puttin down 280 RWHP and got 25 mpg on the highway...

but the handling is something they cant do stock. add some sub frame braces, torque boxes and maybe a roll cage with some good springs and ur ok...otherwise u'll be in the trees...

thats why i dont have a fox body or LS1 trans am...id be in the **** trees...

Import: Subaru WRX, Toyota Supra, Toyota Celica, Honda Accord

Domestic: Mustangs, Cavaliers, PT Cruisers (WHY?), Berettas ( icon_lol.gif ), Grand Ams, Dodge Neon, Dodge Avenger, Camaros

Not hating on PT Cruisers bc i know there are people with them on here, but they can look alright with Appearance and show mods, but i dont know why people would mod them for performance unless ur tryin to be a sleeper.

Thats all for now

89-99 DSM
1g DSM will be cheap... you SHOULD be able to get an AWD Turbo for $3000 or less, then put $5000 in parts in it and it'll run low 11s' high 10's with proper tuning.

i say neon very cheap car lots of mods u can do to them that are pretty cheap and they arent the fastest but i think they look good and if u get some performace parts u could get that thing going sort of fast but i am more for looks than performace so i would go with alot of looks and little performance cause i i had a really fast car i would have sooo many tickets and most likely crash it at like 110

Stay away from 2g dsm's unless you feel like fixing your car a lot. I say 90-91 1G dsm(6 bolt), an integra gsr, or maybe an srt4 if you feel like spending that much.

well i want something that can beat those riced civics for sure..hopefully keep up with a b18 engine. i dont wanna go high end cars (RSX and such)..if i cant decide on one..im swapping in a 3.4 pushrod in with a trueleo intake (which gains about 30% vs orginal fiero intake)

Seriously, shell out 700 bucks for a nice Shelby Charger or an Omni GLH, something with a Turbo 1 and a 5-speed will whip any Civic/Neon/Cavalier/whatever else people rice out these days.

There are alot more Dodge cars from the 80s with the turbo motors. And the only thing you'd really have to worry about on those cars is the head gasket, and really the only reason that would break would be if you upped the boost too much and pushed the car too hard and too far. Other than that, they're suprisingly reliable.
