I wanted to put some LEDs in the interior of my car, but is there a way to make them glow or dim with the music, or is there a different kind of light I can use to achieve this effect, preferably in a simple way?

hook the leds to a music interface and they will flash to the beat of the music.

yes you can use a MI ( music interface ) but use the search option and search music interface and you will find a bunch of **** that tells you how to install it and you might even find a wiring diagram

The MI sucks, IMO. I tried to run less than 20 LEDs off of it, and had two burn out on me... two MI's that is, not two LEDs.

run the LED's of the music interface with transistors and you wont have to worry about them burning out...

I have an OPTX music interface, works fine for what I do with it. Sensitive to sound, but has never burnt out or anything.
