Scion xB Front Bumper Vertical LED Running Lights - Customer Questions

Frequently Asked Questions by Oznium Customers

is there any instructions to wire these lights up - by jay (riverside ca)
Yes, please click on "More Photos"
what makes them not fit in a 2012 model? - by will
Style changes to the newer models.
last question, between the two green wires it will, if spliced, both run directly to the headlight on/off toggle or am i getting this wrong? - by Alex (Orlando Fl)
Pretty sure that is correct.
i noticed in the description it says the lights are not currently available in any other color. Will they be offered in other colors soon? i would prefer an amber set and want to know if i should purchase a set and tint them amber. if i do tint them will that effect the lights or the overall effect? - by Cannoli (Queens,NY)
We do not have any plans on other colors yet. When we do offer more colors, we'll update our site.

Yes, tinting them will effect the overall appearance.
how would one wire these up so they run without having to turn on the cars headlights, and if i order the strobe kit is there extra wiring and do i have to order two strobe units or just one.
Don't run them to your headlights then. Run them to a separate power source, like turn signals or even just a switch. From the switch hook up the strobe kit, and then the vertical lights.

Battery > Switch > Strobe Kit > Vertical Lights
Are these lights made to fit the regular bumper cover only? I have an 08 release series and it has the Kent Style body kit on it. The slots look like they are different than the regular cover. I would love to order these if I knew that they are going to fit. - by keith (fort bragg)
These lights are made to fit the regular bumper only - not the 08 Release Series with Kent Style body kit. Thank you for your interest though.
Do they come with a switch? If so, will it look like the OEM switch? - by Kevin (Chester, VA)
Nope. No switch. Just the Vertical Lights.
How long is the life of the LEDs? And is there an extended warranty then just a 1 year warranty? I want to be sure that they will LAST for a good while so I won't have to buy a new set each year.
The LEDs are made to last about 5 years. No extended warranty available at this time.
So how do I become a "committed" buyer so you can produce a 2011 model. - by Jason (Los Angeles)
Really appreciate your interest! I guess the best thing to do would be to start a topic on your favorite Scion forum, and get a huge list of people together who are willing to commit. I'm doubtful though that it will work, since most people don't want to part with their money 8 to 10 months before getting the product. Say, if you can get a list of 30 people together, then we'll start a pre-order.
I have these hooked up with the strobe module through the green DRL wire. To turn them on I have to turn on the DRLs then use the remote to turn the actual lights on. Is there a way to set the strobe box to be turned on by default so when the DRLs turn on I don't have to also turn them on with the remote? - by Danny (South Carolina)
No there isn't, I'm sorry.
I just bought a set of these because I had to replace another vertical LED light made by another mfg. The LED's were burning out on one side only and there was no way to replace the bulbs. Your lights look like they're made better, but if an LED goes out can the individual bulb be replaced or do you have to replace the entire unit? Thanks, Ron - by Ronald (Sacramento, CA)
The entire unit would have to be replaced.
I installed these lights through a toggle switch (my car is the white xB on page 2) and its connected through an ATC fuse. What's the lowest and highest
ATC fuse amperages I can use? It had a 25 amp. Now its on 10 amp. Can I also use a 30 amp? - by Jay (Norfolk, VA.)
These don't even draw 2 amps. So for these, I'd probably use a 5 amp fuse.
Excuse me Oznium, I was just wondering what kind of headlights are those in the xB thats the main picture? Where may I purchase them? - by Jay (Norfolk, VA.)
I'm sorry, those are a customers Headlights, not ours.
The price shown, is that for a pair or each? - by Craig (Minneapolis, MN)
Pair. If you enter a quantity of "1", you will get 2 lights, one for each side.
Will the round rocker switches sold here work with this? (http://www.oznium.com/rocker-switch)
Yes of course. Pretty much any switch will work.
I have a TRD cold air filter that has the right side air vent. can I still use these lights? - by Glenn (San Diego, Ca)
You could still use these lights but then obviously the right side air vent that the TRD intake uses wouldn't be able to use the same spot. You'd likely want to relocate it.
