Question
If you turn it off with the remote will it still take power from the battery or due you have to turn off the switch near the fuse - by Jason (Tampa, FL)

If you turn it off with the remote it will still take power from the battery. If you want it to draw no power, you should turn it off with a normal switch.

does this kit have the capability to have more than one color on one tube, at once, as like the start of the tube being blue, the middle being green, and then end being blue? - by ryan (Coventry, RI)
Answer
No, it does not. The Flowlighting Inferno has these capabilities though.
Question
I have a tC and I want to wire this kit to one of my OEM switches to the left of my steering wheel. Will I be able to do this or will I need to use the remote to turn it on and off. Also, does the ECU have buttons on it to change patterns and colors or just the remote? I'm afraid I may lose the remote or something. - by Brad (Simpsonville, SC)
Answer
You can easily wire this to any on/off switch. The control buttons are only on the remote. The kit comes with 2 remotes.
Question
With this kit can you set it to always default to a specific color or pattern when it turns on or will I have to set it every time?
- by Kevin (Medford, NY)
- by Kevin (Medford, NY)
Answer
Since it does not have built-in memory, every-time you turn it back on, it will go back to the demo mode.
Question
what does the music functions entail on this kit? like will it "dance" and change colors to the music or just flash? - by Paul (Milwaukee)
Answer
Basically you can control the sensitivity, and the different modes do dance from different points.
So lets say one of the modes starts the LED's dancing from left to right, and another would start from right to left.
Another would start from the center to the outer edges or outer edges to center.
It's very cool! Trust me!

Question
if i put the ecu in the trunk... (hatch) will the front tube have enough wire to reach it? or will i need to extend it? - by Raul (Geneva. IL)
Answer
Depending on the car you have, the wiring should be long enough.
If not, you can add on to the cable, Look for a Cat5 Cable extension connector
and get more Cat5 and connect them together.

Question
Can you add bulbs to this kit. I am trying to put it on a limo and need more light? - by Hud
Answer
You can add up to six feet of additional tubes using the splitter and replacement tubes. Probably won't be enough to cover a full-sized limo, unfortunately.

Question
Would they be ok if u drove through a puddle of water? Also can they fit Firebirds/Camaros?
Answer
Yes, these kits are designed to hold up well to the elements - snow, rain, puddles, gravel, etc. And sure! These kits are universal and should fit most vehicles.
Question
I'm curious as to how well they can stand up in a salt, snow and ice environment. I know they can take a beating but are they made to resist salt and ice? Also if salt does corrode them while still in a 1 year time frame is it still covered, or am I on my own?
Thanks and sorry for all the questions, just wanna make sure before I put them on a Minnesota vehicle. - by Tony (Stillwater, MN)

Answer
All of our underbody kits are designed for harsh climates, including salt/snow/ice. Simply make sure the kit is installed properly, avoiding loose wires, moving and hot car parts, etc.. Also it's good practice to give the tubes a nice wipe-down if exposed to a lot of salt. But yeah! Should work great! The warranty will cover any defects caused by the weather, not installation-related errors.
Question
As far as I know, these are only legal on cars when the car is parked in WI, correct? - by Jeff (Germantown, WI)
Answer
Even if the law says they are legal, you could still get pulled over and hassled because the cops may not know the law. Even if they are illegal, you could go for years without getting pulled over because cops don't care enough, or might not see you. If you have some LEDs under your dash you will probably be ok. If you have flashing red and blue LEDs glued all around on the outside of your car, chances are, you'd get pulled over.
Trying to figure out the legality of LEDs in a certain area can be very difficult. It isn't as simple as looking up the vehicle code for your state. Vehicle code can be very confusing and conflicting. Even a call or email to your local police station can be misleading.
People have been told one thing and even had written proof, only to be pulled over and slapped with a ticket by an officer who may not know the intricacies of the law.
Regardless of the law in your area, there are things you can do to reduce your chances of being hassled.

- Hide the light source so it is not directly visible from the road. Make a shield with a long piece of "L" aluminum or steel. Use black electrical tape to hide a section of the light.
- Take extra caution to obey all laws. If LEDs are perfectly legal in your area, and you are speeding just a few miles over the limit, a cop is more likely to give you a speeding ticket than if you had no lights on.
- Save the strobing red/blue for the car show or your driveway. Blue and red might be fine to cruise with as a solid color, but as soon as they strobe, you may cross the line as "impersonating a cop"
- Keep a copy of the vehicle code in your car. You can just print or copy the section that deals with lighting. Present it to the officer if you are pulled over.
- Respect police officers. They protect you when you are being shot at, they protect you when your house is broken into. Respect them and they should respect you.
Question
Hey, I was just wondering if you had any install guides for 1999 Honda Civics? - by David (ALABAMA)
Answer
Nope. But have you looked at the install guide for the tC and xB? The concepts are the same for any car.
Question
Does this kit show "hot spots" like other LED kits? Or does it give a pretty even coverage of light? I want to put it on a Scion xB. I wasn't sure if it sits so low that it would show the individual light spots. - by Joshua
Answer
No. It gives a pretty even coverage of light. Since you're putting it on your Scion xB, you can look at this install.
Question
"A one-year limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship." I don't get a good feeling when I read that. How is the durability and light output?
Answer
Durability is superb. Light output is good.
The warranty covers anything but user error. If you drive over the tube and it breaks, we do not cover that. If you melt the wires together and the kit shorts out, we do not cover that. If you install the ECU in the engine bay and water gets into it, we do not cover that.
Here... I just did a quick search on the forum for "Blaze Durable". Came up with these topics
