They are waterproof. They will work great for an under cabinet install.

We only make these lights in one intensity. We would be happy to customize them for you with a minimum order of $1000.

These lights will work on any 12 volt power source (which includes cars

Red is positive, as is the case on most 12v accessories.

Answer

There is already about 4-5" of wire in between the modules. They are pre-attached, and we cut them to whatever number you order (IE if you order four, you'll get a string of four already attached to each other). In either case, you can always just splice on any additional wire as needed. There will always been enough to make adding more easy.
