I have found one and the others I have found are backlit an have proprietary stuff like; power windiws, locks, signified in switch.

Sorry, our switches do not light when off. I'm not sure about wiring them to light up the LED, please ask on our Forum.
What is the accessory terminal for? Do you provide 12v to that one as well?
Power = Power source input (positive or negative - usually positive).
Accessory = Power source output (usually to your lights).
Ground = Ground.

Is this waterproof? I am looking at installing a switch under the hood for lighting and wonder if this would be good or another switch would be better.
NO, not waterproof. I happen to have one of our regular Round Rocker Switches
under my hood near the front of the car and I haven't had any water/moisture problems.
