LED Synchronous Million Color Controller - Customer Questions
Frequently Asked Questions by Oznium Customers
What IC is this unit? Such as 1903IC, 1606IC,6803IC,1809IC,WS2803IC,etc - by Greg (St Petersburg Florid)
Sorry, we don't know.
what are the data in and out jacks for? I have million color strips hooked to the rear terminals. So to dim the strips, you can't dim the 120v input? wOULD YOU DIM THE 12VDC? With what kind of dimmer, anything special? - by jeff (wisconsin)
Power into the controller. Dimmer should be on the strip side, out Rotary Dimmer would work [https://www.oznium.com/switches/rotary-led-dimmer].
can this brain support million color leds?
Yes
Can this controller be attach to just white leds. I have nine separate lines of 20 leds per line, set up in parallel (3 leds together). I would like to control each line seperately, if possible. Or I can put the nine lines into three sets, and control each set seperately. thank you - by Richard (Canada)
Basically, LED Controllers just regulate voltage to different channels.
I believe what you are trying to do will work.
Instead of having Red, Blue and Green colors to worry about, you'll have channel 1,2,3.

Would it be possible to install a switch in the circuit before this controller that would control the on/off function? For example, if you wanted your lights to be on mode #20, could you leave this controller set to that, and have an outside switch turn it on/off? Also, would it be possible to add a dimmer before this controller? To dim the lights as in the $300 model, but for a fraction of the cost? - by Robert
You would be able to dim the output, however not the input side. Sure, it should be simple to install a on/off switch on the input side. This system does have memory and will stay on the setting you choose with the absence of electricity.
Can you individually control the red, green and blue signals to achieve an infinite number of colors? - by Edward
While this controller can display an infinite number of colors, the color can't be controlled with a infinite manual precision. The colors produced are from 1 of 25 modes.
