I put a foot strip under the front doors of my car (under the map pocket). I wired them into the courtesy lights so they would turn on when the doors were open and light up the ground.
These lights are extremely bright especially for their size. Once again oznium.com has not disappointed. They are an easy install. The hardest part is soldering wires onto the strips. But even this is easy if you have ever picked up a soldering gun, and have a steady hand.
They have a wide light spread, and are a lot brighter than you would think. 1 foot under each door was plenty enough light. I posted a picture in the action shots.

I've been doing underbody and accent lighting for years - way before it was "cool!"
It's unbelievable how simple these strips are to work with - no need to build complex wiring harness and mess around with all those resistors. Ohms can take his Law and shove it!
My only two complaints have been this: I didn't need the built-on adhesive, but the paper on the back reduced the flexibility. So I had to peel the paper off, and apply electrical tape so that it wouldn't stick to everything it touched. I wish a "non-adhesive" version was available. Secondly, you can't cut these strips every three bulbs like it says - these strands are obviously made in batches and then "joined" at the factory to make one long roll. So at some points, the "cutable" ends have already been soldered to each other, and you'll have to cut it somewhere else. For me, it was RIGHT where I needed to cut the strand, and I had to cut it somewhere else, messing up my project.

These lights are so versatile, any application you can imagine, these lights can probably accomplish them, I have so many different ideas now thanks to these... Oznium truely does rock, check the action shots, you will what I mean when you see them...
Bright, GREAT for the price, nice adhesive | Jun 15, 2008

I bought these for footwell lighting on my tC. I was able to cut the strips to the length I needed. Soldering wires on to the terminals was a little difficult but definitely do-able. Best of all the LEDs are VERY bright, and you definitely can't beat the price. The adhesive is very sticky too.

I bought 4 ft. of this stuff for under the dash and under seats in my 2005 Scion tC. I was thinking a foot and some extra for under each dash, and a little less than a foot for under each seat. You do NOT need that much!!! A foot up front on ONE side was soo bright that it lit up the entire interior. It's a distraction to driving with how bright they are if you put that much.
There are 7 sections to each foot (yeah, I couldn't figure out that math either), with 3 LEDs on each section. 2 or 3 at most are all that are necessary for a bright glow. I might keep the bulk in and tape it off, so if I want to show off, all I have to do is remove the tape. I now have a bunch extra that I can do some other stuff with too.
I gave it 4 stars as it didn't stick all that well under the driver side dash, but the passenger side fit really easily.

I installed these in my 2003 Corolla (pic in action shots). Turned out great, 1ft per side.

Bought these for a gauge backlight project but ended up using them for my footwell and door courtesy lights. Nice and even glow, I got the neutral light so it's easier on the eyes. Submitted my pictures to the "action" shots, it's the 2005 Tundra. Fast shipping, great site, thanks!

I installed two strips, about 6" each, on either side of the hatch of my tC and wired it to the existing trunk light. Now my whole hatch area is illuminated with a bright even light when it is open! Soldering the wires to the ribbon was quite easy.

Very bright -- I have a strip circling my sunroof opening and I had to cut them in half because they were washing out my other lights in the car. The sticky backing seems to be holding pretty well so far. Pretty good quality stuff and easy to hook up once you solder some wires in the end.

These things are really bright, they light up my foot wells at noon even when the sun is shining in the car. Another great product! The sticky on the back could be a bit stickier though, addition means may be needed if attaching to a carpeted surface.

wow! these strips are bright! I ordered a 4ft. strip of blue and I am very impressed. The ribbon strip is very thin and flexible. The sticky adheasive and flexibility makes mounting them very easy.
They are also very easy to cut to smaller legnths. (But make sure you know how to use a soldering iron.)
I cant wait to install these strips under my dashboard and in my door panels.
Thanks Oznium!
