Lets all buy new cars, and let them sit for 20 years.

Have you ever heard of fogging. That car will run fine as soon as he puts in new gas. The mileage might be very low but that does not mean he never ever started it up and let it run. I know a few people that have done that before, buy two vehicles the same and put one away. It pays for itself plus some you sell the one you stored after about ten to twenty years. It's just that not too many people have that kind of money to play with.

I'd call it smart, not homo. But $120,000 seems way high.

Ive seen this exact car. It was at the dealership where i bought my mustang. They guy said it was the only one in existence that has never been registered. The window stickers are still intact. It was really nice

Buy it and just start hitting it with a baseball bat. If I had the extra money that would be funny. He would be so sad after all that time.

^^^ except he'd have 120,000 to do it all over again, and you wouldn't. I'd say that's a win for him.

thats true but if I was so rich I got bored I would do that. 120000 wouldn't hurt me if I was a millionaire. icon_twisted.gif

If that is how you play with money, it wouldn't last long.

As far as i am concerned that is awesome, i wonder how many times he has been dared to "just take it out once".

Not a bad price ( wouldnt buy it for that price tho), but IMO a car is meant to be driven, not stored away on rollers for heaven sake, restoring it is different, not just buying it and putting it away, whats the freaking fun in that? O wow I have a car thats just brand new from 87..lol WASTE!

The most expensive car is something from like the 1920s that has around 25 miles on it. It's in perfect working condition with everything original. They store it in an environmentally controlled area. Worth like 8 million dollars.
