Twas a 95 Supra SE turbocharged, and did it sound awesome! Seriously, He didn't get it much over 4500 rpms, but damn, that car is the ****. I was talking to the guy, (he didn't like to brag) but I got out of him that basically he destroys Enzo's, Vipers, and any other ******* that tries to race him. He wouldn't tell me exactly how much hp he is putting out, but he said close to 1,000 at the crank. No pictures, I'm sorry, but hopefully when I go home and get the cord for my camera, I'll call him up to see if I can take pics (he doesn't pop the hood either icon_sad.gif )

If it has a 1000 hp it could take a Enzo, Vipers arent ****, way over rated vehicle. I dont hate Supras but I dont like them but man, when those things are modded they kill. TT=owns But yea, around here Enzos are VERy rare, sure there around some parts alot tho.

near 1000 at the crank right now, He needs a new tranny, b/c the tranny in it right now is supposed to handle about 400hp. He should be getting the new tranny soon, along with some more performance mods to make it about 1000 hp at the wheel.

supra's really for the most part are dyno queens from what i hear.
i hear alot about moddified supra's being owned by equally modified 300zx's and 3000gt's

so he's got 1000hp at the crank supposedly... and a tranny that was designed for 400?...... somethin ain't right... because a tranny ain't gonna hold 600hp more just because it wants to....

not quite 1000 at the crank. The tranny is almost shot right now.

Edit: I know he has the turbo running at 20psi

is it the single turbo setup? if so i think at most he's going to hit around 560 on it.
you can tell with the blowoff valve if its a sequential or not.

I'm guessing its the single turbo, b/c I'm pretty sure thats what the 95 se's come with. I know he put an aftermarket turbo on it. I didn't hear a BOV icon_confused.gif I'm not even sure if he is running much of an exhaust b/c that sucker is so loud. Tis a stick shift. I'm fairly sure he is telling the truth b/c I had to work freakin hard just to get any info out of him. I'm just guessing at the hp. I heard 650 from one person. A quote from the owner "I'm almost hitting quad digits at the crank" So, not quite 1000hp, and you have about a 15% hp loss going to the wheels (sorry I don't feel like doing math). The only other really kickass car I have ridden in is a Ferrari 360 modena with the F1 style shift, and it doesn't even compare. The guy with the supra wasn't even driving it hard which just blew my mind b/c it was just so friggin quick driving normal, or trying to drive quiet (impossible to do) b/c cops are anal around here.

Why do people think it is so cool if they can race a stock viper and win? If you put the same amount of money into the viper as the supra has into it, the viper would be a hell of a lot faster. I'd rather have a ford gt though, i saw a black one a few days ago by 7-11, man those look mean on the road.

I'm not believing any number I see in this thread until I see physical evidence.

And holy crap do the stock wheels look ugly without the center caps.

I wouldn't use factory wheels and tires if the car had 1000hp, that'd be dumb and I don't think youd get very good traction... Those are RWD arent they?

the 2006 GT has 550hp, I don't know what the 2007 z06 has, but I'm sure if it only has 450 horsepower, it will not touch the GT's quarter mile times. Don't read anything other than the motortrend test results. Car and driver, road and track, the quarter mile test runs are all crappy. Motor trend usually get times a few tenths faster than both those other magazines.

That turbo looks way too small. That motor looks stock, doesn't look to impressive to hide it from everyone.

Yeah and my wheels stick out of my fender wells to help me hug the corners. icon_confused.gif Seriously dude look up some pics and mod list of high HP Supras, they tend to have a little bit more going on in the engine bay then what your pics show. If his car is so badass then how about basic mod list, what kind of turbo(s) is he running, what kind of fuel system, and hell while were at it what kind of spark plugs does he run?

Amen. ^

I'm sure it's a stock turbo Supra with a body kit. But it's a Supra so it's the fastest car on the road, give or take with no turbo.

I'm not ripping on Supras. Supras are amazing and you can get incredible horsepower out of them. I just don't see what the deal is with Supras and Skylines.

Seriously I think every automotive group has their kings. The jap imports have the EVO, SkyLine, and the Supra. The domestics have the S7, ZO6, Viper, and Ford GT. The euro imports have the Lambo, F1, Enzo, and the other super cars.

I know for a fact that the pics are old, so he could have done something since then, but honestly I don't know. I was doubtful because he wouldn't let me look under the hood. I was just stoked because I got to ride in a freakin Supra because things like that don't happen everyday.
