Anyone know how to get better mileage cheap, my car dosen't get too good of mileage for a 95 grand prix 3.1L V6. I only get about 18.5 mpg when i'm not ripping on it and that is highway miles. I used injector cleaner and that added about .5mpg and i want better.

Take a couple hundred pounds out of your car... and put aerodynamic air sheilds over the back wheels to decrease drag. Get a lighter hood, take out the back seats, take off all panels and doorpanels and speakers... well I'm getting carried away lol

I think the optimal speed for good MPG on the freeway is around 50 or 55 mph

MOst cars have the best preformance at about 2,500 RPM (gas Milage Wise) So i would say also try to keep it inbetween there. I also don tlike the k&n that much anymore. i had a k&n on my old chevy. It didnt increase nothing for me really. I thouhgt it was a waste of money. If you car is so **** that a freaking air filter makes a differnt in preformance, then all i have to say is, MMMMUUUHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHH

Yeah thats white older cars (like my former 91 Taurus) have a red mark at 55MPH...back when oil was scarce they wanted people to drive at 55MPH to conserve gas. |

no clue, it still is 75 in some places in the US. There even used to be a road or two in Nevada that didn't have a speed limit, or the speed limit was something like "use your judgement based on weather conditions". Now I think it's 75.
