What color for the bike?

Should I paint my bike? I usually have all sorts of fabulous ideas, but for the bike I have no clue. I was thinking some crazy ass shade of green w/ a ton of metal flake

I like blue, but that's pretty Yamaha-ish.

Honestly? The color you have now irs more appealing to me. Sport bikes and metal-flake paint just DO NOT mix in my mind, but I admit that I'm a traditionalist in this area.

If it were me and wanted something REALLY different, I'd dissassemble the bike right down to the frame then powder coat the frame, seat sub-frame, clip-ons and the wheels with a dark anthracite black/gray with just a HINT of flake. Maybe the rear swing-arm as well. I'd leave the forks alone, both for function and for a touch of highlight to match the faring silver. Add in a smoked wind screen and you have one killer ride...

i like the green in your 3rd post. kwonrae also had a nice green.

Green is a Kawi color, though... No self-respecting Yamaha rider would dream of that. Expect to be taunted as a Kawi "wannabe".

His is a suzuki, so does that make it ok to be green?

TLR have the WORST forks for sport bikes, so if and when I decide to rip down the bike and paint it, those forks will not be going back on.

Cant afford that ;-) I might polish the frame, but as for the body plastics I need to PAINT it so I can do it myself. Chroming is something I am not yet able to do in my garage

Not sure what kind of bike you have, I can't see your pic at work (must be hosted on a photo place). Anyways, a bike I saw once that stunningly HOT is 1/2 orange, 1/2 black, with the white and silver stock stickers. I'll dig up a picture if you're interested.

It used the line sof the bike to switch color. Gas tank, front fairing, upper side fairing, front fender = orange. Black = lower side fairing, rear fairings. Some people think Harley, but the black and orange used was so hot, nobody thought of "harley colors".

I'd like to see a pic of that, yeah. Can you dig one up? As you can see from my sig, orange and black is something I like.
