While looking for paint for my dashboard at autozone I came across a glow-in-the-dark exterior automotive paint. I was wondering if anyone would know if this was illegal in Michigan. It is blue coloring and is said to last up to 8 hours. What do you think?

I tried painting some interior parts with this stuff. I'm disappointed for three reasons (in order)...

#1. It does not go on clear, but a pinkish color (like salmon)

#2. It does not "fully charge" during the day. The only way I got it to show up is to shine a black light on it. Then it fades quickly. Can't see it unless it is pitch black and no street lights.

#3. Very rough finished surface, like sand paper. Didn't put clear over it cause it was just a test piece.

Overall, don't waste your time and money. icon_mad.gif

yep that stuff is garbage.

most likely not illegal because it will never glow bright enough to be seen unless your car is parked in a pitch black field with every light on the car off and clouds blocking the moon and starlight.
