So these aren't the most exciting pictures, but I've started wetsanding in preparation for a new paintjob. I've never done this before so hopefully I'm doing it right.

I got it painted about 3 years ago, but the shop did a crappy job and so all the rust came through again. This time I'm doing it myself along with a friend who has a paint booth to make sure it's done right.

I'm going with a full black/red two tone separated at the body line. I think I'm gunna go with airbrushed barbed wire to separate the colors. icon_twisted.gif

or just let him paint his truck the way he wants too...
or just wait for the finished product, and we'll all be suprised...
or, I could just shutup and go to bed.

night!

If you are going to have a barb-wire stripe I think CHEVROLET written in barb-wire on the tail would be sweet, plus you have to work actual barb-wire into the interior as well for a complete theme. icon_smile.gif

Haha. A barbed wire steering wheel would be a challenge to use. icon_lol.gif

I've been thinking through all the different options to separate the colors and I'm still not sure if I'm going to do the barbed wire or just go with a simple pinstripe.

And a little update here:
We're not going to have time to do the two-tone before I have to go back up to school so it's going to be sprayed all black now and when I come back for spring break or summer we're going to spray the red on bottom. So I'm gunna have a black Blazer for a while which will still look pretty sweet.

I'd go with a simple pinstripe in silver or something to separate your colors.

As for wetsanding, the easiest way to do it for a first-timer is with a squeegee as the backing for your sandpaper, that way you don't end up with finger lines .
