x2. if you are going to drive with illegal lights, accept the fact that you're gonna get your balls busted about it at some point

well rule of thumb is if you drive with neon/etc on, a cop or two will probably notice.
sorry but fast and furious ruined it for all of us |

meh. There's only one cop around here that's a total **** head. He pulls over his own family... Every other cop in my township is nice and will usualy just give a warning.
If your driving around with illegal lighting or whatever, don't dread the concequence. I have tint all around my windows, but I don't have anything to hide so I don't mind if I get pulled over for tint, If worse comes to worse i'll have to take it off. I drove with an UB kit on one time and got pulled over, just given a warning. If you want to drive with neons inside, try UV-black light cathodes, in my car with light interior, it looks like a deep deep blue that's not distracting while driving. No one should be able to see it from the outside. Wire them up to a two way switch, one position can be your blue for sitting in a parking lot, and the other possition will be for the black light cathodes, for driving. |

You were stopped for blue lights. You fixed the blue taillights issue. You were pulled over again for blue lights. He saw blue lights while following you. You were stopped x2 for blue lights. You are wrong because you have blue lights. If he got behind he must have known you were the car with blue lights. He was basically looking for blue lights from your car a second time and he found them. Is your keyboard missing a few keys or do you have some sort of hand eye coordination issue? No disrespect your posts are choppy.[/u] |

Your **** up, you should have gotten a ticket after being warned the first time. If you don't want an issue, turn off your lights while operating. Simple as that

Hmm, well i guess it depends on how much light he could see in my opinion. If the whole sides of your car are blue because interior lights are leaking out, then ya. but if sees a little blue spec flying out one of your doors, then ya, ill take your side, thats just being a ****. Who is that harming if he has to follow you for 5 blocks checking every inch of your car just to find it...?

the thing is.. the first time he stopped me you could seethe bulbs through the tail lights if you were low enough..and he was down in a ditch watching people, so he pulled me over..and just told me to fix it, done, the fact is he didnt say anything about the blue underdash/seats/ or trunk, but he pulled me over because he pulled into a parking lot and could see blue from the side, which is legal..you just cant have the bulbs showing, but yea i usualy dont run with the lights on in city limits, becuase of cops in my town...and i konw its my fault, im not blamin anyone else..im taking full responsibilty

wire whatever lights you have in your trunk on a different switch so they're not on when you drive and wont be a chance of being visible through your backup lights.... but I agree with everyone else, just dont drive with them on |

ok calm down guys.....
best thing for you to do is to check your local lighting ordinances and see EXACTLY what they say...if it says you cannot see blue light coming from the vehicle then dont drive with them on...if it says you simply cant see the source of the light and it is inside the vehicle then you can drive with them on, just be prepared to be stopped since most officers dont know every single ordinance and look them up and interpret them as best as they can....Its the risk you take by modifying a vehicle..... and think of it this way, you were WARNED twice, you could just have easily been ticketed twice and have two court dates...so personally I would THANK the cops for simply giving you a warning...they could have written you tickets for moving violations/equipment violations because the vehicle was being operated with them on (if that is illegal in your county) |

They could have written him a dozen tickets and he would have torn them up in their grillz and told them "I run this city my grand diddy is the sheriff so break yourself fool"

Ok but how much was the ticket for? It would be classifed as "improper lighting" The ticket shouldn't be that much should it?

In PA, the ticket for illegal lighting is like $110 bucks! Most cops let you go for neons, but my friend had red turnsignals in the front and got a $110 fine.

I just think this lighting issue is so funny. Everywhere you go there is some problem with cops etc. But all these concept cars have lights out the ass inside and out AND those scions come with freakin leds in the foot wells. I guess you really have to just take a chance driving with them on. I know a friend of mine can drive with his UB on as long as its not blue or red. (emergency vehicle colors)
