For a v6, a single 3 inch cone would be perfect for it. Maybe a 2 or 2.5 inch cone. It doesn't have to be K&N, but if you do get a cone like I had, I would recommend getting the K&N spray that allows you to reuse the filter. The cone filters breath a lot better, however they tend to let a little more dirt through. Using the K&N spray on them will help to catch some of that unwanted dirt, and will also allow you to reuse the filter later =)
