Oznium Chat ?

Maybe this has already been suggested.. but why not an Oznium chat channel ? Either IRC or one of those web-based deals or something . It seems like most of the Everything Else forum would work well on a channel .

Everyone doesn't have IRC. Jesus Christ, I'm getting sick of this IRC chat. A chat room is a chat room. As long as it works, who cares? Besides, no one is ever in there anyway.

The OZ chats on AIM used to be bumping.

Hah.. I gotta second or third the motion for an IRC channel . Just because those of us that IRC anyway are used to idling, and the channel will be more accessible . And to those using web access it would be the same either way . I don't have the smarts to setup a web shell to chat on an IRC channel, but it couldn't be too hard . Someone let me know if it happens, regardless of the network . I have mIRC up 24/7 .

mirc is like a 3mb download. just get it. i vote IRC

i tried to set up an IRC room but the host was not allowing new registration due to a "break in"

I'm going to idle in #oznium for a while on DalNet just to see if anyone shows up . I just can't keep a browser window up with a chat channel in it .
If anyone's not familiar with IRC, mIRC is the most popular client (at mirc.com) . Its basically freeware with an intro message that pauses for five seconds after a month . irc.dal.net will connect you to a random Dalnet server, usually the fastest/closest in your area . Or you can go to www.dal.net and there's a java-based client you can run in your browser .

Because keeping a browser window open is SO hard....

i went in the chat and there were 2 people claiming to be from there. one was ok the other just spammed.
