Can i connect each voice coil to a channel on the amp? It is a Kicker L7 2 ohms DVC.

can work fine, but has to be setup properly..

you have to send the sub a mono signal.

That being said, its really not hte end of the world if only one coil is getting juiced up.

Why not bridge the amp?

Sounds to me like 1ohm bridged on the amp would probably be too great a load unless its a decent amp, and 4ohms wont give the potential that 2ohms would. So bridging it wouldnt give you the same theoretical power & safety as running each coil off a channel on the amp.

This is common practice, and theres nothing wrong with doing it this way as long as both channels of the amp see the same input signal (mono).

its a hifonics Zeus line. It will not handle 1ohm load, it will not handle 2ohms bridged either.

Alright guys i have switched around wat i got.... so lets see now i have a Kicker L7 4 ohm DVC, which i am going to run parallel to get it down to 2 ohms. Then i bought a different amp now, a Kenwood KAC-8152D, it is a D class amp, with 550 watts RMS X 1. What do you guys think? will it bump well. Please give some feedback if you can. Thank i really apreciate it.

i have a kenwood kac-7202 and i have popped two 12" comps and working on a comp vr as we speak... all i can say is damn... this amp pushes the cvr hard, and that is on 4 ohm... i am wanting to bridge it and i would place money on it being able to rock an L7 hard
