Bad move, I spent way too much :)
Smith&Wesson SW9VE (9mm). Something easy to carry and fun/cheap to shoot. I have three 16 round mags. It can hold 17 with one in the chamber.

nice pickup...does it have a visible hammer though? and just out of thought why did you go with a 9mm, why not .40 or .45 for some more knockdown power?
nice concealed weapon though, how long is the barrel |

No hammer on the back, barrel is 4 inches. I went in looking for a .45 but decided to go for a 9mm or .40 so I would have a smaller gun that's easier to carry. The 9mm and .40 were the same price but the ammo is cheaper for the 9mm. I will be doing lots of recreational shooting as well as carrying, so this is an all around nice piece for what I want to do with it and it's cheap to shoot. The only drawback to the new S&W Sigmas is the 8 to 10lb trigger. I can fix that by changing out some springs or taking it to a smith though. I'll get used to the trigger, but if it becomes a problem it's nice to know that can be changed. The gun retails for $419, I paid $280, I get a $30 MIR, and they gave me two more mags that they had on the shelf marked as $39 a piece. BY the way, I don't know how true this is...but the guy at the gun store said the S&W Sigma 9mm has been known to out penetrate a .45 with the right kind of ammo. My buddy has quite a few hand guns, one being a .45, we are shooting next weekend so I'll tell you how it goes, but I think he will like my S&W |

nothing wrong with 9mm
shot placement is key a well trained marksman with a .22 is deadlier than an untrained man with a .45 ACP |

This is true, but .22 is prefered because the bulled doesn't exit the body and can do more internal damage, whereas a .45 has more tendency to leave a gaping exit wound. But, there is nothing wrong with a 9mm, I personally don't like the hop of a 9mm compared to a .40, but that's a matter of personal preference.. As for the gun, it looks to be a great gun for concealed carry, I traded my Ruger p89 in as a deposit on an order for a .40 XD sub compact, due to the shorter barrel.. but ended up with an AK, so I'm back in the market for a handgun.. EXCEPT, I bought a motorcycle instead of the handgun.. haha. Congrat's on the purchase. |

Oh.. one more thing I like about 9mm is that you get more capacity.. which is a big plus for self defense.

If you're in Columbus make sure you visit the football practice field. I wouldn't mind few bullets through the legs of a couple of those OSU players...

Do you really think they will red shirt him though? Analysts were calling him a 10 year prospect. Able to do "10 years" of what quarterbacks can do in 4. Anywho, I was accepted as a Fighting Irish, but scholarships placed me @ UF. |

Yeah, well I grew up in Columbus then moved to Chillicothe/Circleville Area to finish up High school and go to College. Then I moved back, but to Pickerington. I think next on my list is Upper Arlington. That will come in like 2 or 3 years hopefully.
Saturday! My friend and I are going down to my old place in the country (middle of nowhere) and unloading about 600 rounds or so between 3 or 4 different handguns. |
