I have phils blue LEDs in my climate controls which use to house green LEDs. Now that I have the blue one in, they are waay too bright. Theyre just about blinding. I filed the ends flat, adjusted them different ways, but one way or another, someone is gettin beamed.

I plan on taking phils LEDs out and using them somewhere else, and I want to replace them with orange LEDs, to break up the color scheme a little bit, but what voltage should I go with this time to make sure their brightness is like the stock LEDs were. The current LEDs are just using the stock resistors the old LEDs were usin on the board, I didnt change anything, but the LEDs themselves...

you can use a larger resistor to make the lights a little dimmer. But don't go too big

Get a voltmeter out and find out what voltage is coming out. You may be overpowering the LEDs.. the more power, the brighter they are. You can always add a second resistor inline with the LED.

I found a site recently talking about selling some 8000MCD LEDs =P but they wouldn't put up a price.. you gotta call'm/email'm for a qoute, so I'm guessing they are extremely expensive =/

I love your LEDs phil...

Theyre perfect under the dash, and two on each side lit it up so nice...

I just have the LEDs in the vents and around the car in other places, and the way the dash is set up, my problem spot, is taking away from the lights around, cuz theyre too much.

Im gonna have some nice pictures once I get done. Some real nice play on colors.

I was thinking about the radioshack thing, thats what Ill probably end up doin. Then I can put the Blue ones to good use somewhere else. Its stupid to have them where I have them now, cuz they light up when the button is pressed, and I can only have two buttons pressed at a time, so theyre much better suited glowin up the interior then beamin in my eye, while the others arent even lit...lol
