I'm planning on putting a couple LED's behind my speaker grills, my door handles, and in the little pocket thingie in each door - my question is this: How hard is it to run wires from my door to my center console so i can put the lights on a switch? And if not hard, how would I go about doing this?

My only other alternative is to simply tap into the power that lights my power window buttons, since those are always on - I'd like to have the option to turn them off though(getting pulled over situations).

Thanks for any help you can give me

It not too hard you just might want to have some thing that you can hook the wire on to and pull it through the area that all the other wires go through.

Goph is right, you will need to go from your led and enter the door somewhere, after you have your hole or what not, get some standard I call it mechanics wire but maybe you call it somethin different its just a bunch of wire in a spool unroll your self a good amount and stick it into the hole. In between the door and the car there is rubber or plastic hose that your wires for the power windows go through stick the wire through there <though this can be somewhat of a miracle to do on the first try> you may have to remove the door panel to get it in there. once it is through the sleeve it will reapear on the inside of your car under the dash somewhere where the wires spread out. After that its just get a ground, hook up your switch and ta-da you have fly door handles

lol ah fond memories, recently i hooked up my cold cathodes and i had to run the wires under the trim along the floor next to the door. the jerk that had the truck before me stripped the screws that hold the trim in place so i had to get a scew driver and pry it up and stick the wire in about an inch at a time, well i went to slide the screwdriver over, it slipped dropping the trim down on my pointer and leaving about an inch long cut, man it was a ***** to do that but it was worth it.

I would have drilled the screws out and replaced them before I tried doing what you did... I hate having stripped screws in my car...

it was a pain in the ass to run the wires from everything in my door, thelittle rubber thing was a ***** that all the other wires go through ie: power windows\locks. it sucked. but it was worth it. it looks clean not seeing any wires.

Alright, that's about what I figured I would have to do...

Tommorow I'll take apart my door and check it out(also want to see what kind of lights light up my power window buttons so I can switch them to blue)

Thanks
