What style of Glow best describes you?

a) subtle glow: light accent lighting only. A few LEDs in strategic places. You prefer the glow to be only in places of importance.

b) moderate glow: foot wells, underbody perhaps a sound system with LEDs or cathodes. Your lighting Is liberally placed but you don't want to be wasteful.

c) Lots of glow: LEDs, cathodes and neons everywhere, but as long as they're concealed when not turned on. It's impossible to drive your car at night with all the lights on, not because it may be illegal, but simply because you can't see the road.

d) Light-a-holic: you have enough light in your car/truck that you've never seen a reason to go to a tanning salon. You could if need be provide enough light for a small airport. Astronauts send you pictures of your car as seen from space.

In case you're wondering, My current vehicle is "moderate". My last truck however....that's another story (lets just say that's how i came up with catagory "d")

My current setup is B, Moderate

My style though is C) Lots of Glow

I'd love lots of glow, but of course with no visible bulbs/tubes/LED's. I don't really see any reason to move into the last category, there's only so much you can do before you start seeing lights and that's just not cool....

I'm probably in the C category right now. Except you can see some of my lights (scanner, interior floods).

If my bike wasn't so much fun, I'd have a lot more glow by now.

I like the Stealth mode. When my lights are off, the only thing visible is the tiny ICELED display next to the A pillar. Everything is hidden away. When the lights are on, it's not overpowering, but still noticeable.

It's my wife's daily driver, and kid taxi, so I don't want to have stuff all over the place in "her" car... icon_lol.gif

I think you barely qualify as an A...
You don't have enough glow to be on Oz...

[/sarcasam]

I'd put you in the C category, from what I've seen of your truck It seems like you hide everything well and it's pretty tastefully done, I don't know of anyone I would put into the D category whose stuff looks any good.

D said nothing about the lights being visible. I am a light-a-holic but obviously everything has to be hidden, that's kind of Rule #1 when it comes to glow isn't it? Unwritten code or something?

I really need to take a few days off and get on some things, there is $3,000 worth of Iceled sitting in a box in my room icon_confused.gif

I think I have glow in every little hole and crevace in my car minus the trunk and engine...

I'd give myself a C leaning over to D possibly.

Master = D
Yellow = C but odds are he will be a d soon

I should have incorperated that into "D" For those of you interested, here's a few pics of the lights on my old truck:

Here's the good stuff:
Note the many auxillary lights....(HIDs at this time were in the $300 range) I also did alot of night driving and in severe storms these lights did me really well, especially on unlight highways. But some are just for fun biglaugh.gif

Hella combo lights with PIAA H3 fog and Pilot hyperwhite driving bulbs
Pilot projector fogs
Tyger (ebay) Ion LR fog lights
6" Daylighters
Custom floodlights (built into turn signal housings)
Silverstar high/lo beams with Hi-4 upgrade

Yes, yes it is.

I know that it didn't say anything about being visible, but to have the amount of light I think of when I read that, there has to be something visible. Just my Opinion.

I think we all consider ourselves "Glowers" right? Then shouldn't we fall into one of the glow categories, Light-a-holic just reminds me of a car going down the road with hundreds of pre-wired superfluxes just hanging from the head liner, with 2 dozen tubes lining around the floorboards, and a hundred feet of flex strips just circling everything in the car.

Yet again, this is just MY opinion.

Korn - I agree with you, I dunno though...so I guess to each is own.

You have to see akens car in person to see that it can be done and look insanely nice and cool. But each person has their own opinion whether it is over done and/or ****. Yes you can see the floods on his roof. I myself HATE when i can see the source but because it gives such an awsome effect i easly got over it when i first saw his car that i creamed three times at once. biglaugh.gif

Yeah, I need to see his car in person, but I doubt that will be happening soon.....that's what gives me mixed feelings about the floods, they almost have to be exposed, you can't really hide them anywhere.

They do look sick as **** though. I'm thinking I'll go with a UFO setup instead of getting the V2 when I get the money, so I can link everything together.

I'd still put myself in the C category. If I had a ton more lights in the trunk, map pockets, seatbelts, and all those other little places, then maybe I'd say D. My amount of lighting is actually pretty minimal and not very custom. They just change colors.

Also what's nice about the floods is, yes they are exposed, but they're only like 4" square. Even when they're on, it's only one small area projecting the lights. It's not like a 24" tube or anything.

Holy ****....I just looked at that picture for like 5 mins before I could figure out what you were showing me. Now I see them.....

I like those, but still you can see the bulbs when they're turned on, as in it wouldn't be something that would be on when you're driving right?

On another note, what is that white box on the dash?

I think most of us qualify as C....

defnitely A here... i like it to be tasteful and useful.... and usuable at all times.... changed all factory interior lights (dash, window switches, ashtray lights) to blue, dome light is main blue (open door, unlock doors or manually pushing the lens to activate) but also have white leds and ultra violet

also have white led's for tag lighting

my new atv might be more of a B vehicle though
